Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"I wish to be the greatest 'smith of the land. I come here to get a new beginning and start fresh with my knowledge from the past" says caldor as he sits on her cushion. He looks up and meets her eyes with a half smile as he says “there was nothing left for me back home. I was stuck in a broken household with nothing but the items my father left behind, a hammer and a rough anvil held together with a rope”. He sighs as he looks down at his hands and speaks with a soft tone saying “I did it all for mother though. Once she passed I knew that I had to find somewhere new to go”. Caldor stands and brushes off the cushion as he excitingly says “now where do I go from here!”
