Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"I.... what? My story?" they asked, before confusedly sitting down. "Well, I- I needed to get away. My parents.... let's just say we don't agree with some things. They're not a huge fan of how I live my life. So, I left. No reason to stay. So, now I'm here. Looking for a job. I'm good at communication and languages, my parents spoke multiple languages including some that are nonverbal and only somatic, so I can help expand your horizons in that respect. I have a large background in history and reading any book I can get my hands on, I'm here to learn. I'm like a mold- I'll fit into any role you need me to fill. But if someone comes for someone that I care about.... that's another story for another day."
