    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: using information that the character did not get in roleplay and there for should not know to do actions that they should not be doing because they should not no that they need to do said action.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: making your character do actions that other people cant do anything about such as saying I cut someone's head off vs I attempt to swing at his head.

my characters father left before he was born. why my character was born his mother became sick. she could hardly take care of him, but somehow she was able to take care of him until she got better and he got older. when he was 17 he taught himself to swordfight from a couple of books his father used to use. on his 20th birthday a flash flood came and took his mother while he was gone and he got back to here his mother yell at him to go to haense and join the army and make a differance in the world.

Physical Description: slim but strong. brown eyes and hair. red and green ragged clothing. he carrys daggers in all sorts of places.
Roleplay Scenario:

my character would close the book he was reading and say "i beg your pardon.". then the well dressed man would ask again and he would say i am here for adventure and the chance to make the world a safer and nicer place, as he is saying this he would turn back to his book and continue walking down the street.
