    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using knowledge that the character does not have to benefit the character.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: An action or emote that: Is outside of the character's ability to do,or forces an action upon another player without allowing them to respond. eg: an instant strike that kills the other character.

Varin's early life was spent on his father's farm, outside of Holm. While he was close to his father, a burly farming man, his mother seemed distant.
At the age of 12 he travelled to Holm with his father to sell their crop, and later travelled to Carolustadt, where he was mesmerized by the work of the Blacksmiths.


Two years later, while travelling to Holm, his father was murdered, and his crop stolen.

Varin believed this to have been an act of murder by their neighbor(Turvir Warcrag), whom had wanted the farm, and his mother.


A year after his father's murder, his mother married Turvir, and their farms merged. 

Turvir beat Varin, and treated him as a slave. Due to this abuse Varin ran away from for at age 16 in hopes of travelling the world and learning the craft of Blacksmithing.
After two years of travelling, while doing small jobs in the cities and villages he came across in exchange for food and lodging,


Varin now returns to Carolustadt in hopes of finding a blacksmith to teach him the craft.

Character Age: 18
Physical Description: A dark haired, browned eyed, tanned farm boy. With the dark sunken eyes, of one that is wary of the world. A muscular build from growing up on a farm.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
