    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: If my pal tells me over discord or pms (OOC) that someone In-Character told him and I then use that information In-Character, that is meta-gaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: If I, in a roleplay situation, tell and action AND the result of that action infringes on another player unfairly and without their proper roleplay, like /me fast kills man, that is Power-Gaming

You’ve just stepped off of the boat in the port of a massive and fortified city. Before you lies a sprawling bazaar, with numerous shops, stalls, and seated traders selling wares to folk of all walks of life. Just as you’re about to continue walking onward, into the market, you’re approached by a well-dressed gentleman who looks upon you with a big smile. “Welcome!” He began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?”
How do you respond?

 

Qaz looks the well-dressed man up and down, he’d then return the greeting, “Hail sir. We’ve come to trade.” He then points to his ship, “If you’re buying you’ll find my Master on-board.” He’d then step around the well-dressed man and continue into town.
