Artemis' mother was pregnant when she was taken hostage by the wood elves during the War of Ironwood. She was born into a society of wood elves in the Realm of Elvenesse, and she was locked up and kept a secret for many years and only interacted with a few people. She was only allowed into the woods away from the other elves in case someone questioned why she was there since her pale complexion looked so different from all of the other wood elves, she stuck out like a sore thumb. As a child Artemis learned how to use a bow quickly and began to practice by shooting targets on a daily basis and she soon mastered the art of archery. She also learned how to play the harp, and this relaxed her mind and lifted all of her troubles from her head while she plucked the soft, delicate strings in an elegant fashion.
One night she overheard one of her friends talking about how she and her mother were prisoners of war, and how she was taught by the wood elves to serve and fight for their nation. On that very day she decided to run away to search for where she was originally from, and she made a vow to free her mother one day when she returned back to the Realm of Elvenesse. She had heard of a place called Haelun'or and decided to run away there with nothing but her harp to keep her company during the days of travelling alone. She hopes to make new friends that do not judge her for her appearance and she just wants to fit in and be normal, and find a place of safety and comfort.
Artemis looks up and down in awe and amazement at the grand market and her eyes meet upon a gentlemen.
"Good day kind gentleman, I am looking for my city of enchantment and glory, the Silver State of Haelun'or, would this magnificent city be what I was destined for?"
"I would like to discover new friends and meet new faces in this lovely outside land."
Artemis pulls out a map and points at an island in the East, covered with snow white.
"This is the land that I am searching for to find my kind. Could you please guide me in the right direction if this is not it?"
