Mountain dweller, warrior, and craftsman. Jotric was born to a mother that was fascinated with the art of crafting, be it Steel, Wood, or even Linen; any material that could be made into something she knew a way how. His father specialized in combat and served the Grand King of Urguan he had a particular disposition to Battleaxes and Shields taking every opportunity to train and practice and when his son comes of age, to teach unto him his accumulated knowledge of the art of war. Jotric’s family was by no means noteworthy and lived in a stone cabin built into a large mountain. However his parents were determined to give him a better future then what they were able to have. A priority was placed on him as they both bestowed upon him their accumulated knowledge of the crafts and combat. He was rather average at the art of crafting however showed a certain disposition to combat having bested his father in a sparring match at the ripe age of 15. As he grew his interests drifted away from crafts and combat. and instead towards more refined forms of knowledge, such as the study of war. He turned his attention to the warring Clans and Empires studying their functions and how they exist.
As Jotric got older he became more and more fascinated with the war, he turned his back to other people and opted to focus on his education. Working with his mother and father he became a journeyman in both of their respective crafts and hoped only to increase his skill in both. He tirelessly practiced on training dummies and sparred with his father every chance he got. His mother showed him how to maintain a blade and how to repair one that had broken altogether. His intense desire to learn only grew as his father informed him that he received a promotion in the army of The Grand King of Urguan and that they would be moving to Kal’Varoth offering more opportunity to study the art of war.
Years later his father had retired from the army and they moved back to their quiet cabin in the mountains, however, Jotric’s wanderlust began to overcome him as he expressed to his parents that he wished to adventure out and learn more of the world around him to further his study of the art of war. Understanding of this desire having recently tempted him with one of the wonders the world had to offer only to have to rescind it soon after they gave him their blessing. Only a beardling yet such ambitious aspirations to further his understanding. And so his adventure began.
Jotric stumbles off the boat and unto the docks having suffered from extensive sea sickness only moments prior. He takes a moment to gather himself, taking a deep breath and analyzing the fortifications of the city as a Dwarf knows a sturdy wall when he sees one. His collection of thoughts interrupted by the man welcoming him he turns his head and looks at him with a glare. He thinks: “ Hur.. what could’a fancy dressed gent’ want wit’a Dwarf hur hur.. “ he begrudgingly extends his arm to greet the man who is no doubt a member of the upper class of the city. He thinks to himself: “ ‘erhaps I could make’em useful hurr.. “ before speaking with a loud and haggard voice. “ Aye, what can I do ye for gent’ fancy man like ye’ need’a bodyguard er’a axe for hire? “
