Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
*Eyes widen in surprise and fear* "Who are you? I know no one and no one knows of me!" *takes one step back and tenses up* "After so many years I've spent in those damned caverns! Only the blind crawlers and abyssal creatures know my scent! I-is this another trick these caves often play? I will not fall for it, get me out of here!" *Screams manically* "Now that I look closer, you do reek of the Abyss.. you creatures are getting crafty." *puts a hand on his chipped weapon* "I- I need to get out of here." *slowly backs away*

Backstory:
Cave dwarf that has been lost and survived alone in underground cavern system for ~12 years, just recently managed to escape and is tired of the underground life, even though his homeland is preety much underground he wants to go out and explore. Since he has been isolated for such a long time, battling that underground ecosystem and its inhabitants he's completely out of the loop on most of the historical events/ lore... and slightly out of his mind. Everything is new to him, but he is suspicious of everything/ everyone (basically always on guard), due to his history.
Since over the 12 years of hardships everything he carried either broke or wore out, he had to repair it and improvise constantly in order to survive, therefore only gear he truly trusts is the gear he crafted by himself. All in all, this Dwarf only trusts himself and his creations, but is willing to broaden the horizons by exploring everything the world has to offer.
