Born as the daughter of Segmund Kames, Rose Kames was often left to fend for herself as her father, a traveling merchant, was away from home and could be gone for weeks on end. When her father did return, he would have brought back just enough resources to last for the few weeks that he would be gone again. At 6’1, Rose Kames towered above many other women in her age group and with her father gone and her mother out of the picture, confidence was a trait that was highly needed and Rose made sure that she lacked none. She could often be found at the local pubs of the cities and towns in the Kingdom of Santegia, scamming men a few gold pieces out of their pockets with her convincing stories, her other hand swiping the rest of any unguarded bits off the tables as the unsuspecting patrons looked away. Besides swindling currency out of pockets of foolish men, Rose made sure to make money by selling whatever rarities her father brought from his journeys to the kingdoms far away from home, often at a larger mark up.
As Rose’s means of keeping her money pouch fat and happy are risky, she’s grown to know who to avoid as a target and be as discreet about her business as possible. As with any hobby, failure is imminent, and so there were some things Rose did learn the hard way. When she was younger, she would end in numerous fights over her thievery and gain a few scars. This has also encouraged the woman to keep a look on her physique – one of her daily activities involves lifting heavy barrels.
