Born into a poor family in the frontier, Karter had a tough life growing up. He was one of six and on a poor farm, he barely received any formal education learning to read and write from his father who once worked as a Merchant’s clerk. Karter’s childhood was filled with constant danger on the frontier farm, losing a younger brother to a bear attack and having two fingers amputated due to frostbite, these events like many others shaped him to be a tough and rugged man. He followed in his father’s footsteps and learned farming, animal husbandry, and other essential skills to survive in the frontier. At the age of sixteen he left his home due to his family being unable to house him for any longer, he traveled to Markev, taking work in the outskirts on the farms, while he worked there he was introduced to The Church of Canon and began following the faith loyally. At twenty he began fully studying professional farming and agriculture within the city of Markev, eventually finishing his apprenticeship at Twenty Three. He moved back out to the frontier near Markev to attempt to open a farm within the local village, however he was unable to due to limited funds. Now he seeks to make enough money to purchase a plot of land and build his farm within Markev.
