Born into a poor family in the frontier, Karter had a tough life growing up. He was one of six and on a poor farm, he barely received any formal education learning to read and write from his father who once worked as a Merchant’s clerk. Karter’s childhood was filled with constant danger on the frontier farm, losing a younger brother to a bear attack and having two fingers amputated due to frostbite, these events like many others shaped him to be a tough and rugged man. He followed in his father’s footsteps and learned farming, animal husbandry, and other essential skills to survive in the frontier. At the age of sixteen he left his home due to his family being unable to house him for any longer, he traveled to Markev, taking work in the outskirts on the farms, while he worked there he was introduced to The Church of Canon and began following the faith loyally. At twenty he began fully studying professional farming and agriculture within the city of Markev, eventually finishing his apprenticeship at Twenty Three. He moved back out to the frontier near Markev to attempt to open a farm within the local village, however he was unable to due to limited funds. Now he seeks to make enough money to purchase a plot of land and build his farm within Markev.

After a few moments, he grabs yet another scroll, unrolling it and began scribbling down new orders, to upgrade and repair the roads, turning them into sandstone highways, contracting the best engineers and architects to begin construction of these new roadways, sending 1000 military men to assist and defend the construction from any raiders, as an ex-Caravan leader he quickly jotted down the precise orders and rolls the scroll, giving it to another Servant and finishing for the orders for the day. Ra'Kazajir sat back on his floor mat, a table being brought to him once more with scrolls and the like, but this time, he got a sweet roll with it, grabbing the sweet roll and eating it quickly he turned his attention to the scrolls, grabbing one and unrolling it to start writing things down. On the first scroll, he details the mass construction and reconstruction of farms on a large scale and upgrading the Dune's farms to the Terrace farming used by the Kravirans. He gives this scroll to a Servant, grabbing another Scroll, unrolling it and starting to write down on it, detailing that Advanced Irrigation techniques are to be researched so crops can be grown throughout the entire year, giving researchers plenty of funds and demanding results at the end of the year. Speaking of the end of the year, Ra'kazajir was now thirty-six and it was time to find a wife, he sends a request to all of his wealthy clients and the leaders of Torval and Corinth to see if there are any young women able for marriage. This was only for the first wife, to produce an heir and hopefully have an advantage due to her possible status. Once the requests are sent, he takes two more scrolls, rewriting his trade offering to Corinth and Torval, the two tribes who denied him, perhaps they can reconsider... The Dune Settlement to the south is also renamed Kazar, in honor of Do'kazar, the man who captured the city within a day. Do'kazar offered a nod as Ra'Kazajir left, slowly moving towards the map, sighing before he began moving some pieces around the map, remaining silent as he formulated his plan, nodding for a moment before he began to move out, walking past Ra'Kazajir's room, and out of the palace, his men starting to mobilize as he climbed onto his Senche-Tiger, slipping his helmet on and then moved out of the walls of the city, to carry out his plan. 750 Khajiit warriors set out from Kravir, two hundred and fifty light infantry, two hundred and fifty Senche mounted Archers and two hundred and fifty Senche-Mounted Spearmen set out to harass and raze The Dune lands. Ra'Kazajir sat in his room, sighing for a moment as he looked at his blank scroll, sighing for a moment before he dips his pen in the ink and began writing, it is time for expansion he details that twenty thousand people are to go to the region to the west to build a new town known as Kachi, he also states that 500 heavy infantry and 250 light cavalry are to go and guard the civilians against desert raiders and The Dune, leaving 1750 troops to defend Kravir from any attack, but they were ready none the less. Do'kazar moved out with his unit, making way towards the Dunelands, it would take a few days, and he intentionally stopped at oasis spots to refill on water and rest, eventually, they'd make it to the outskirts of Dune lands and now prepare for any encounters. 12. Kraviran Tribes "With this much trade and wealth coming in, perhaps allies are to be made...ho- ah yes a bazaar! that will do the trick!" -Ra'Kazajir Vaskir Overview _______________________________ Population: 45000 Military Number: 4000 Available Manpower: 15750 Population Growth: 9400 a year Unlocked Technologies: Terrace Farming, Advanced Military Doctrine Currently Researching: Handheld Firebombs Current Economic Status: Booming Current Construction: Grand Bazaar Current Political Projects: Subterfuge and Sabotage of The Dune Current AP: 11 ___________________________________________ Current Bonuses: |+500 Population 1 turn| |+100 Population 4 turns| |+550 Population 3 turns| |+250 Population 1 turn| |+4 AP from Trade Partners| __________________________________________ A plague will not stop the Kraviran Tribes, it will only strenghten their resolve, Ra'Kazajir stood on his balcony seeing the city and the body workers haul the dead to their burial grounds, Khajiit monks singing and saying prayers as he went inside, the population may be saddened by this loss, but he knew of ways to solve this and lift their spirits once more. He went into his room, quickly sitting on his floor mat and being brought his table and scrolls, taking one and unrolling it, quickly starting to scribble into it, his demands were clear, expand the city's marketplaces and begin construction of a new central plaza for a grand bazaar that is to be held at the end of the year. He details that the bazaar is to showcase the absolute best, stating that a bathhouse, brothel, small arena and a great plaza are to be built in preparation as well as hundreds of spaces for merchants to come far and wide to sell their goods. He also demands for a cleaning and improvement of the infrastructure, cleaning of the sewers and streets as well as buildings and the defenses. He invites The City-State of Bruma, The Colovian Highlands, The Peliates, The City-State of Anvil, The City-State of Chorral, The Regions of Rimmen and Torval as well as all who wish to attend the bazaar. He also offers the Regions of Rimmen and Torval mutual trade agreements, stating that they are very prosperous regions and would benefit greatly from this new trade deal. He paused, taking another scroll and unrolling it, starting to write down the new taxing system, as there wasn't much of one before he states that with each new business and caravan made there are tax cuts, and after a certain degree of wealth, the rich are to pay higher taxes as the middle class gets small tax cuts and the poor maintain the same tax rate but to keep the rich happy they can keep their caravans and industries in the private sector but must pay all taxes or else. Once he finished writing the invitations and signing them as well as the construction orders he sent the scrolls off and took yet another scroll, unrolling it and putting some security details for the military, stating that during the bazaar and leading up to it they are to perform constant drills for city defense and improving battlements on the walls as well as investing in setting range markers outside of the walls, the details are that during the bazaar 1000 light spearmen are meant to maintain the peace and make sure all rules and laws are being followed. Once he completed this scroll he sent it off, taking another one, much smaller than this and quickly scribbling down orders for the spies, simply stating, "The Dune is to be weakened by any means you seem necessary, complete this to prepare for the invasion." He rolls this scroll and offers it to his servant, quickly standing, slowly making his way to his balcony as he steps outside, looking out to his city, now the fate of this upcoming war is in his spy's hands... [This is where the main RP ends, you can skip down to the actions if you don't wish to read what the spies do] _______________________________________________________________________ Knives and Red Sand "Without food, a city will either die or revolt, The Dune will not survive after this." -Daro'Kiahi The orders came in clear, she held the scroll, reading it before offering it to her partner, sitting behind a building, with a small cane of moon sugar in her mouth, gnawing away at it as her partner nodded, taking the scroll, slowly walking to one of the many torches around the city and setting it aflame, burning the scroll as he walked back to her; offering a nod before speaking up, "This one will handle the people, their unrest is easy to manipulate in our favor, perhaps some will leave The Dune in search for a better life in the Tribe, yes? but you will handle the food situation here, give the populace one more push in favor of us, yes?" He said, taking his blades, sliding them into their hilts as he moved his hand back to bring up his scarf and cloak, only offering a simple nod as he started to move off, seamlessly joining a walking crowd and starting to move towards the slums and lower city, leaving the woman by her lonesome. "Without food, a city will either die or revolt...The Dune will not survive after this." Thought the woman as she puts on her headscarf once more, sheathing her dagger and sword, moving her hand to take out a small scroll, unrolling it and gazing upon it, the hand-drawn overlay of the city and its defenses, still gnawing at the cane she takes a small piece of chalk, resting the map on the wall as she circled the food storages and where the drawbridge was located, marking out a path to take to each location during the night, rolling the scroll up once more and retreating back to the shadows. The midday sun and heat glared down upon The Dune, sand in the wind as crowds moved about, traders from other regions conducting business, the guards walking past K'zaka, he slowly made his way to the slums, being greeted by the lower class and poverty-ridden people, glancing around he began to work his magic, walking to a huddled group of common folk, mingling and speaking with them, quietly speaking of the great riches and opportunities that are in The Kraviran Tribes, repeating this talk with many groups within the slums and lower portion of the city, always maintaining a high alertness for guards or informants to them. The day would continue on much like this K'zaka doing most of the work for now as Daro'Kiahi just lied in wait, sticking to the shadows for a majority of the day before night finally fell on The Dune. With night now upon The Dune Daro'Kiahi went to work, slowly moving amongst the shadows, avoiding the lights of the torches and the guards, skillfully navigating her way through the now empty streets and alleyways, using her natural night vision to her advantage as she slowly made her way to the food storages, quickly avoiding guards as she eventually came upon one of the food storages, opening one of the side doors and moving inside, seeing fruit, meat, grain and other delicacies being stored, she slowly walked around inside, noticing it was mostly made of wood, coming up with a simple plan, the crates were made of wood and since it was hot and dry, it was easy to catch fire...all she had to do was make it look like an accident, the long burning torches used a mixture of wax and oils to remain lit all night, perhaps a 'spill' can occur. She slowly moved to one of the nearby torches, ripping it from its stand, holding it idly for a moment before throwing it into the food storages, watching for a moment as it began to catch flame before starting to make her way towards the walls, the food storages now ablaze as shouts of guards can be heard rushing over to the burning food and buildings. Now a fair distance away from the burning buildings she can smell the smoke and see the light of the blaze, glancing around for a moment before making it to one of the walls, looking up at it as she jumped up on it, using the imperfections of the wall as stepping stones as she climbed up the wall, quietly thinking to herself, still gnawing at the moon sugar cane. "Doubt is death...doubt is death." Once she reached near the top, she would hear a guard's footsteps coming closer, her hands would be on the edge as she waited, hearing him come closer and closer, eventually she'd strike, pulling herself up and moving one hand to grab at the guard's leg, pulling him off the edge; quickly ending his life as she now fully climbed on the walls, slowly making her way towards the drawbridge area, in her mind mapping the walls and battlements of the city. Upon her path, she'd stumble on some guards not paying attention, sneakily moving up behind them and quickly covering their mouth and driving her dagger into their side, only for but a moment before she forced them over the top falling into their moat to die and sink to the bottom, for the other she once again covered his mouth, quickly driving the dagger across her throat, not throwing this one off as she slowly lowered the body and glanced around, noticing no other guards and started to drag the corpse away, most likely to take the uniform. After a few minutes she'd come out once more, having a bag slung over her shoulder and a naked corpse over the other she dragged the body before throwing it over once more so it too can sink to the bottom of the moat. She moved towards the now unguarded mechanisms of the drawbridge, looking over it before taking a guiding rod acting out as if she were going to sabotage it, nodding for a moment before placing the rod back, instead, driving some rocks into the gears to make it more sluggish now when lowering and raising. Her work now done, the food storages now reduced to nothing but ash, the drawbridge now being partially sabotaged with the full sabotage occurring during the siege she slowly made her way down the walls, the same way she came, climbing down before sulking back into the shadows, waiting for the siege soon. 13. Kraviran Tribes "Perhaps now is a time to expand, let us not stagnate but prosper, yes!" -Ra'Kazajir Vaskir Overview _______________________________ Population: 37000 Available Manpower: 12950 Population Growth: 9150 a year Unlocked Technologies: Terrace Farming, Advanced Military Doctrine Currently Researching: Handheld Firebombs Current Economic Status: Booming __________________________________________ Another great year for the Kraviran Tribes as trade, population, and infrastructure boom and prosper. With the new roads the capital city of Kravir sees caravans and merchants carrying many goods daily, the streets constantly crowded with the rich merchants as the brand new sandstone roads guide and lead the traders within the city. Ra'Kazajir walks through the many markets, seeing his booming city with his very eyes, the new Aquaducts carrying fresh water throughout the city; the sewers carrying the waste out of the city and into the surrounding moat that encases the city. "What can this one do to improve this great city and continue its long prosperity he wonders?" Ra'Kazajir pondered; what can he do to increase the potential of his civilization? he knows of the clear reports of the provinces nearby being clear and free of dune raiders, but he also knows of his rival's jealousy to the south, The Dune. Ra'Kazajir thought actions need to be taken to maintain security within the Capital and for the prosperity of the people. After his brief stroll, Ra'Kazajir found himself within his palace, walking towards his quarters he thought and eventually came up with his new plan. Once he reached his quarters he sat down on his floor mat, taking a moment as his servants brought his table to him before he grabs a blank scroll, unrolling it and taking a gander at it, taking his ink and quill, dipping it and starting to scribble in his new orders; clear and crisp, his new military doctrine needs troops to use it. He made a new order demanding two thousand new troops to be recruited and trained, signing off and placing his wax seal on the said scroll before rolling it up and having one of his servants take it off for it to be put into action. He paused for a moment and took a small moment to eat, his servants serving him smoked fish imported from the south of Elsweyr, wine and a sweet roll. Once he finished his meal he takes yet another scroll, knowing that if he is to maintain the population's happiness and expand his growing civilization he must continue growing his infrastructure. He signs new orders detailing that additional housing is to be constructed in the city to accommodate for the growing population and possible refugees, as well as a localized fish farm to provide cheap and easy food to the populace for consumption. Ra'Kazajir gives this scroll to his servant, nodding for a moment before taking yet another scroll, unrolling it and starting to jot down new demands and orders, simply detailing that due to the refugees coming from the Aldmeri civil war have an open doors policy, seeing the opportunity in taking in these refugees and using their skills in magic and research to his advantage hopefully. He also states to put more Khajiit scientists and whatever magicians there are into the Handheld firebomb research, increasing the funding for the project. Now comes the problem with The Dune. Ra'Kazajir made a mental note of their jealousy which can breed a conflict, so he decides to keep a close eye on them, taking another scroll and starting to scribble down that two spies will be sent to The Dune, one to monitor the military activity within The Dune and the other to see how the city is and if the people can be turned against the ruler there, he details how he will expect a report by the end of the year. Now finished with his work he stands, giving the scroll once more to a Servant as he leaves his room and heads back into the city, to visit that one stall that was making a special type of sweet roll coated in delicious moon sugar syrup. 14. Kraviran Tribes "A growing civilization needs time, yes, but we also need infrastructure and a true military, also some sweet rolls but...that's second on the list." -Ra'Kazajir Vaskir Perhaps it was the desert heat, or perhaps it was the physical training, but Ra'Kazajir found himself in his new courtyard of his new city, wearing the traditional Khajiit training clothes he exhales; glancing around to see workers and servants bustling around, the populace booming and happiness soaring with the addition of the new refineries, Ra'Kazajir began to move back, sighing as his servants began to dry him and pat him with cloth and adorning him with a new robe. Once he moved inside he walked into his office, still under construction as he sits down on his floor mat, having a small table being brought to him as well as a pot of hot wax, a small vase of ink and a quill now starting his long process of signing papers and scrolls. "This one is glad The Colovian's offered the trade deal. Perhaps they can prove useful allies? although...The Dune has sent us petty insults, they are to be keeping an eye on, but what this one is more concerned about is the state of the military, we are a Warband, yes...a growing civilization needs time, yes, but we also need infrastructure and a true military...also...maybe some sweet rolls, buuutttt, that is second on the list." Ra'Kazajir thought to himself, now fathoming the sweet succulent taste of sweet rolls, shaking his head and focusing, taking a blank scroll and began neatly writing orders down, stating it clear that the internal and external infrastructure of the cities and trade routes need to be established, roads are to be built as well as reconstructing the food storages in the city, improving and starting a stockpile of food just in case for another famine, this scroll also states that the fortifications will need a major overhaul and the installation of wells in the city is in order to give the civilians access to water. He takes another scroll once more, unrolling it and starting to scribble on it, giving it the title, Research. He began writing quite clear and neat that in civilian research, the research of terrace farming for maximum efficiency in the arid region where they reside, as well as aqueducts and a proper sewage system to lower disease and improve cleanliness. In the terms of military research, he wrote in extreme detail that he requests his best magicians and scientists to develop a special tar when bottled into a small ceramic mason jar, lit then thrown at an enemy it works as a crude handheld firebomb, he theorized that tightly knit units like Imperials or Nords can be distributed and disorganized by these crude firebombs and his light cavalry can swoop in and eliminate the panicking soldiers. He signs and seals these two scrolls and hands them off to his servants who will hand them to his scientists, now he begins writing a doctrine for this new type of warfare, utilizing cavalry, light infantry, slingers, and Senche-Tiger mounted Archers, he theorized that they can use harassing and disruption tactics then swarming to eliminate any forces, with this he sent the doctrine to train and arm his current army of two thousand men. Ra'Kazajir pondered for a moment, coming to one of his classic Khajiit revelations and takes yet another scroll, unrolling it and scribbling down on it, a sly grin coming from him as he finished jotting down the words; taking a moment to look at what he wrote, making sure it was clear. He has ordered to send two hundred and fifty of his light cavalry to the surrounding territories to scout for possible areas to build a new town, specifically the regions to the north and south. Now finished for the day he stands, stretching and groaning for a moment as he yawns, placing his hands at the back of his head as he moved out of his room, looking to his servant and giving them the most serious of stares, remaining silent for a moment before finally speaking up. "Servant, fetch this one a sweet roll, for this one hungers for its sugary oowee gooey goodness." ________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |Construct roads and pathways to and from trade routes| -3 AP |Construct Internal Infrastructure of the main city, Sewers, Aquaducts, Wells, Food Storage| -3 AP ________________________________________________________________________ |Research Handheld Firebombs and Farming Terraces| -4 AP __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |Begin retraining of the military with the new Doctrine| -2 AP |Send 250 light Cavalry units to scout the north and south territories| -0 AP ________________________________________________________________________
  15. Kraviran Tribes "This one has all that you require and more." - Ra'Kazajir Vaskir The meeting was held, with the bloody war behind them the newly anointed leader of Kraviran Tribes Ra'Kazajir comes out from his tent to face his newly captured city and the population of loyal Khajiits, his anointed was brief and traditional as he now addressed them. "Welcome my brothers and sisters, we have successfully retaken our lands and now begins an era of peace and prosperity! our first goal is to feed you all and return to what we are best known for! our vast and rich caravans; under this one's rule, we shall prosper, as we speak, we begin reconstruction of the farms as well as the restart of our prosperity in trade. This one has found many willing trade partners and has already found one who wants to trade, this will bring us strength and security. Furthermore, we shall rebuild our depleted military with fresh and new forces, this one promises and will keep them." Ra'Kazajir now walks back into his tent, the cheers of his people heard across the land as he sits down on his floor mat, looking around, taking in the surroundings, seeing his new banner with the half-crescent moon, gazing to his right to see a shrine to the pantheon of the gods, looking up to see a model of the two moons in all their beauty. His Advisor enters now, bowing before him before offering him the paper sent by The Colovian Highlands, offering a bow of his head in thanks he takes this paper, his servants bringing a table, pen, and ink in front of him as well as his seal. He once more gave thanks to them before unrolling the paper, reading it over, a small smile forming on the Khajiit's face as he takes the pen and dips it within the ink, forming his signature, moving his hand back; The Servant would now take a small pot of turquoise wax, pouring the hot and thick liquid onto the paper before Ra'Kazajir grabs his seal planting it firmly onto the wax to form the seal, similar to his banner, a crescent moon with a diamond inside as well as olive branches and a small dune like symbol above, singifying the desert. This continued for a small while as he repeated this with more trade scrolls, sending out mutual trade offers to the remnants of The Dune, The Peliates, as well as one to the city-states of Bruma, Chorrol and Anvil respectively, once he finished with the trade deals Ra'Kazajir began work on the rebuilding of his lands. He takes a moment to stand up and pace around his tent, taking into account his population and the number of men he can rise into an army, deciding to raise units of light infantry and light cavalry respectively, one of each. Once he finished his retrospection he sits back down, starting to form the training demand from the Capital, signing and sealing the forms and sending them off to his advisors and servants, exhaling for a moment before starting another form to build three farms, two for food and one for the valuable mineral for the Khajiits and others, the moon sugar cane. Once these scrolls and forms are signed and sealed he offers them back to his advisors and servants; done for the day he stands and moves slowly outside of his tent, gazing around his new city, this can be the start of a great civilization. ________________________________________________________________________ Actions ______________________________________________________________________ |Recruit 500 Light Infantry| - 1 AP |Recruit 500 Light Cavalry| -2 AP ______________________________________________________________________ |Build 1 Basic Farm| -1 AP |Build 1 Moon Sugar Farm| -2 AP ______________________________________________________________________ |Send Trade offer to the City-State Bruma| -0 AP |Send Trade offer to City-State Anvil| -0 AP |Send Trade offer to City-State Chorrol| -0 AP |Send Trade offer to The Dune| -0 AP |Send Trade offer to The Peliates| -0 AP |Accept Trade offer from The Colovian Highlands| -0 AP _______________________________________________________________________
