    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It is important to keep in mind the realism of the characters and story. Make sure to follow clear boundaries of how the story is supposed to flow and respect that. I personally can avoid it by knowing my character and knowing what is in the power of her and what she can and cannot do.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It disrupts the realism of the roleplay. The person behind the screen may know something but in-game the character does not know that information, so it is fair to keep things in story.

Physical Description: Steampunk/mechanic outfit. Long orange hair with dyed highlights. One orange & one green eye. 5'4, 110 Ibs.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"OH, UH-.. HI. I-I am a mechanic. My family raised me to be this way, I find machinery and technology fascinating...I heard that I can find what I'm looking for here...I don't know what else to say...."

"However I have a strong passion for the machinery I mentioned. I love analyzing machines and improving them! In addition I have a deep passion for structures and structural analysis!."

"And..my name?"

"Oh..."

"...My name is... Shoebill...don't ask..."
