Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example:
She falls on the cushion without hesitation and starts to speak
"My story? There isn't much to tell, honestly. A blacksmith's daughter, can read and write and am about to inherit my old man's smithy. Before that happens, though, I wanted to see what life around is and maybe learn a thing or two about the world. You may say I abandoned my father in pursuit of my dreams, but I think that I should at least do and see something before settling down for good."
She grins a bit
"Anyway, I better get going now. Even though your tent is the nicest place in this 'lovely' town, I don't see a reason to be staying here much longer".
She apathetically gazes at the old woman, gets up and, without looking back, slowly walks to the entrance to the withered tent.
