Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Soleil cautiously makes her way over to the cushion, scanning the tent with sharp eyes. She studies the hag, lowering into the cushion and tucking her legs under her. Finding no cause for suspicion, her face softens. "Well. If you want my story, I want to know how and why you knew I'd be here." She leans back a little, admiring the floating candles. "I grew up with no one but my parents, really. I lived with them in a cozy treehouse high in the trees; my father taught me to shoot and survival. You know, things like cooking, hunting, how to check flora for danger. My mother taught me social skills and cues through imaginary scenarios, which sounds weird, but it's what I know." Her expression grows bitter. "I don't really want to see them again. When I said I was leaving, Father essentially disowned me and Mother didn't fight him on it. So I'd be glad to never go back. But that's not all you want to know, is it?" She tips her head at the hag. "Well, I'm travelling to find a community for myself. A place to call home, to be around people, to learn for myself how to socialize rather than just relying on my asocial mother's teachings. I want to see the world, see other cultures and civilizations. I want to learn what makes someone who they are. I want to learn more about Aspectism than what my mother taught me. I want to find a true master to help me improve my woodworking. I want to try other art forms." She smiles softly. "I want to do a lot of things, really, but I mostly want to meet new people, explore the world to an extent, find a place to just...be, if that makes sense." She relaxes, having told all she feels comfortable with, and raises an eyebrow at the hag. "So? I told you my story. Now tell me how you were expecting me."
[Note: I'm no good at making my own skins, so I found this skin https://namemc.com/skin/cc49e439e5af23cd on namemc and recolored/edited it. I don't intend to take credit for the skin. The creators did a wonderful job, and it caught my eye as soon as I saw it.]
