Appearance:
Igniya has a soft look to her, with dark eyes and long blonde hair, tied into two loose bunches in the front. She has a clip across the back of her head frilled with lace, and a durable outfit that gives her the mobility needed for someone always on the mood. She always seems a bit flushed, likely from the rosacea that dorns her cheeks as well as the near constant state of nervous blush on her face. She stands at an average height of 5’6.
History:
Igniya was born to a pair of traveling merchants, both Heartlanders. Her mother taught her language and charisma, while her father taught her the ways of hunting and man. She spent much of her childhood traveling from city to city, settlement to settlement, before her parents settled down in Helena. It was here that she spent her teenage years, helping out her father as he continued to be a merchant up until his early death when he was 47. His death made her quite sad, and she took ill, her mother caring for the now 17 year old. During this time her mother explained to her the curse that befell the humans- a short lifespan- and Igniya was devastated, angered that she would end up perishing long before she even had a chance to live. As she turned 18, she recovered from her illness, and began to travel again, though never as far as they once had gone, always staying near to Helena. She became obsessed with long life, and began to search subtley for potions to increase her lifespan.
Her mother, now older, began to urge Igniya to find a suitable husband, and Igniya grew despondent, resenting her mother and her pushy ways. She still remained living in Helena, but moved out of her mother’s house and now sleeps where she can. She began to learn how to play the lute, figuring that being a bard was a suitable option to earn a little bit of money. Now 19 years old, she strives to learn more about the history and the curse of the Human race, and as such talks to whoever lends an ear to listen.
Personality:
Igniya is a strong-headed, though careful-tongued young woman. She is a bit shy around strangers, and gets flustered easily if complimented or flirted with. Igniya prefers the company of women to men, and is often seen fawning after the pretty noblewomen whenever they come into town, singing songs and playing her lute as if to woo them. this often gets her a few raised eyebrows and “tsk tsk”s. Men make her very uncomfortable and nervous, especially handsome young men, ending up with her stumbling over her words. She’s a keen people-watcher, however, and is often seen on the ends of town squares, lute in hand, watching people come and go.
