General Description_ Name: Solaine Esperania Age: 22 Status: Boundless Knight Subtype: Heartlander Height: 5’9 Build: Slender/Muscular, with defined muscles on her abdomen and arms from working. Appearance_ A rather pretty looking girl, at first glance. She keeps her hair done into a short bob, framing (and hiding) her face, including much of the bad scar that covers the right side of her body. Her armor covers most of it, but the scar (from burns) travels over her forehead, down the side of her face, over her neck, across her collarbone, and over her shoulder. She has a serious, hard look to her, and many feel uncomfortable looking or staring for too long. Solaine’s armor is sturdy in wear. She wears pants, like a man might, and many heartlanders find this unnerving. A long, flowing white cape give her the appearance of having wings when the wind blows just right. She’s a tall woman, with long legs that look like kicking machines. History_ Solaine was born and raised by a blacksmith, and veteran of the Dasoguz Holy war. As such, she’s quite handy with tools, though its not what she’s fond of. this is also from whom she gained a stoic demeanor, at first. They lived, for a while, at Presa de Madera. Here, her mother the blacksmith met a quiet, gentle artist. The artist became Solaine’s step father, once her mother married him, and he taught her the gentler side of life, showing her how he painted and sold his art to taverns, libraries, and private homes. Solaine experienced an accident when she was 16 years of age. She was with her step-father at a tavern, helping him to hang up a portrait, when one of the furnaces exploded. the building was evacuated, but Solaine went back inside, filled with heroic foolishness, to try and save her father’s painting. a wood beam, covered in flames, fell from the rafters and onto her, giving her the scars that now mar her face to this day. She was rescued by a Guardsman of the town, carried free from the smoldering tavern. Because of this, to this day, she has a high respect for the law. She still reminisces, though its a painful memory, of the guard. She hopes to one day meet him and thank him properly for saving her life. After this, her father and mother had a falling out. She moved back out to the wildlands with her mother, leaving her father behind in the bustling Presa de Madera. After the accident, and angered by her own foolishness, Solaine tried to lose herself to work. One day, she heard her mother calling for her from the house. However, she was angered after a dispute earlier, so she ignored her. When she returned that evening, she found, to her horror, her mother laid upon the floor, dead. She had suffered a heart attack, and had tried to call Solaine for help. Solaine was devastated by this, and thus, took up her training once more, losing herself into learning how to wield a sword. The event unsettled her deeply, and she grew cold and distant. To this day, she travels the lands, settling down sometimes for a short while before inevitable moving on. She’s not sure what she’s looking for, but it feels to her as if she’s lost something. Personality_ Solaine is stoic and serious, rarely getting worked up or angered. She keeps a calm persona about her, even-tempered when everyone else around her may be losing their heads. She’s also known for a level of detatchment and coldness. One time she by chance came upon two young woman arguing viciously over a man, both of whom he had been seeing romantically. She had approached, and offered quite calmly to cut the man in half so that they both could have a even share of him. One woman fainted dead away, the other flew into a spitting rage at her. The man? well, she supposes he turned tail and ran from his mistresses. She has few friends, and trouble making them, preferring to stay serious and cool-headed rather than becoming vulnerable to someone.

Appearance: Igniya has a soft look to her, with dark eyes and long blonde hair, tied into two loose bunches in the front. She has a clip across the back of her head frilled with lace, and a durable outfit that gives her the mobility needed for someone always on the mood. She always seems a bit flushed, likely from the rosacea that dorns her cheeks as well as the near constant state of nervous blush on her face. She stands at an average height of 5’6. History: Igniya was born to a pair of traveling merchants, both Heartlanders. Her mother taught her language and charisma, while her father taught her the ways of hunting and man. She spent much of her childhood traveling from city to city, settlement to settlement, before her parents settled down in Helena. It was here that she spent her teenage years, helping out her father as he continued to be a merchant up until his early death when he was 47. His death made her quite sad, and she took ill, her mother caring for the now 17 year old. During this time her mother explained to her the curse that befell the humans- a short lifespan- and Igniya was devastated, angered that she would end up perishing long before she even had a chance to live. As she turned 18, she recovered from her illness, and began to travel again, though never as far as they once had gone, always staying near to Helena. She became obsessed with long life, and began to search subtley for potions to increase her lifespan. Her mother, now older, began to urge Igniya to find a suitable husband, and Igniya grew despondent, resenting her mother and her pushy ways. She still remained living in Helena, but moved out of her mother’s house and now sleeps where she can. She began to learn how to play the lute, figuring that being a bard was a suitable option to earn a little bit of money. Now 19 years old, she strives to learn more about the history and the curse of the Human race, and as such talks to whoever lends an ear to listen. Personality: Igniya is a strong-headed, though careful-tongued young woman. She is a bit shy around strangers, and gets flustered easily if complimented or flirted with. Igniya prefers the company of women to men, and is often seen fawning after the pretty noblewomen whenever they come into town, singing songs and playing her lute as if to woo them. this often gets her a few raised eyebrows and “tsk tsk”s. Men make her very uncomfortable and nervous, especially handsome young men, ending up with her stumbling over her words. She’s a keen people-watcher, however, and is often seen on the ends of town squares, lute in hand, watching people come and go.

Appearance_ Wyr has green skin, a pale olive, and a healthy complexion complete with dark green freckles and sun spots. She has black hair, which, in some lighting, appears a deep black green. Two small tusks emerge from her lips, and she has a delicate, birdlike bone structure. She wears a durable outfit typical of a blacksmith. History_ from a young age, Wyr had always worried about being culled. She had a shorter physique than many of her brothers and sisters, reaching about 5’2, and at first had trouble keeping up with the others. However, not wanting to face the wrath of her elders, she began to work much harder, developing lean, poised muscles that now form around her body, giving her a somewhat lopsided and strange looking figure. However, she was not culled, and ended up spending much of her time developing war machines and setting traps. She proved to be highly cunning and surly, but with an irrevocable curiosity about other races- so that she could better set traps. For instance, she found that humans were far more likely to rush into a situation if a hostage was available to be taken, especially a pretty woman calling for help. She became known throughout her tribe as a cunning and careful goblin, though she was still bullied and tossed around a bit by the bigger orcish whenever she came across them. because of this, she tends to avoid them if she sees them. She, while having stayed around and in the Lur clan for most of her life, eventually set out on her own to find her own way, desiring to learn as much as possible about the outside world to bring back and better the war machines she and her brethren so eagerly wish to construct. She was considered a whitewash by some orcs, and as such, is incredibly wary of them. Her grandfather was one of the goblins who worked on the war machines in Lur Falls, and was also part of the goblin resistance set to delay Or’ka and his group with explosives, traps, and tricks. Her grandfather was also one of the countless goblins tortured and killed in the resulting destruction of Lur Falls. Part of her wishes to go and visit the site, but she still remains as far away from that as she can. However, she holds a high respect for her grandfather. Personality_ Wyr is a secretive, strangely charming goblin, able to speak her way out of most any situation. She finds herself often being run out of town after town- such a thing she expected- and her life has been in danger on numerous occasions. because of this, she ahs become carefully characsmatic, noting the way human’s and elves and dwarves all speak, learning their tongue and unique slang, to give herself a different approach to learning more about them. Wyr has an insatiable lust for learning more and more about her “allies” that she comes across. She loves to charm humans, playing tricks and acting like a fool to entertain them, only to sneak up when they least expect it and spring a real trap.

History Haemir is nineteen years old. He hails from Santegia, having traveled there when he was much younger with his father and mother. His father, Terryn, and his mother, Dimia, were both Adunian, and having left their birth homes to escape the stigma of their kind, ended up in Santegia, in the Valley of the Heartlands. Haemir had a relatively normal sort of childhood. His parents never spoke of his heritage or the stories of his people, so he grew up rather blind to everything having to do with what he was. He didn’t even know until he turned seventeen, at which point his hair began to turn grey. Confused and spurred on by the incessant teasing from his friends, he confronted his parents, only to have them sit him down and tell him in full what he was. Then, his father, the stern and tired man he was, made Haemir swear to never speak of it again. Feeling betrayed by his parents for hiding such a huge part of himself from him, Haemir left in a fit of rage, taking nothing but his father’s claymore and the clothes on his back. As he began to travel the lands as a travelling mercenary, Haemir gradually grew to learn more about his culture, adopting the traditional ‘full bodied’ clothing look, wearing a mixture of chain mail, sturdy dyed leather, and fur lining that kept him warm even in the coldest of places. Personality Haemir is an awkward, oblivious sort of man. While he desires companionship, his awkward and reckless tendencies tend to drive people away from him- as well as his susceptibleness for flirtation. He has a sort of earnest charm about him, however, never saying something he doesn’t mean, and always rushing to someone’s aid when he feels it necessary- despite whether they want his help or not. He’s gotten into many scrapes like this; such as one instance where he rushed to a lady’s side when he believed her to be ill. All this received from her was a good, solid punch in the face, leaving a stern black eye as a signal for others to keep a wide berth. Despite his apparent awkwardness, Haemir can be very charismatic when he wants to be, and can use his sincereness and honest personality for the benefit of his own speech. Some people claim that he’s a warm soul to be around, but others are just as quick to say that he’s preachy and annoying. Haemir gets extremely flustered very easily, whether he feels people are staring at him, or when he is on the receiving end of flirty comments and sly looks. His face goes beet-root red, and he turns into an incoherent mess, stammering over his words and finding a way to escape the situation. Sometimes, this leads to him throwing a few punches, which is yet another reason why he causes so many brawls wherever he goes. More than on one occasion has Haemir had to been rescued from being roofied and tied to a tree, having all of his possessions stolen in the process. How, you ask, does this happen? He is simply charmed into taking a drink of some tempting liquor, and thus robbed blind and left humiliated by a tree. Haemir struggles with some inner turmoil- both from his nature and from his various failed romances, all with women. though he truly knows why he’s so inept at staying steady with a female, he will never, ever, never admit it, much less act on his feelings.
