Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Hello there, dear woman! *His eyes nervously dart around in different directions* I have been travelling for days now trying to reach Numendil. I believe my cart driver may have missed his calling to be a court gester, because clearly I, Lance Brightlance don't belong here! What with all the swords, and dirt, and... rats. Anyway, it has been a pleasure, I would love to have a cup of water and be off now! *Lance slowly turns around and starts to walk out the door*
Lance Grew up being given anything he needed. He is 20 years old, and just now getting to explore the world by himself. Or really, ""by himself"". Lance has no clue that his loyal cart driver, Benjamin has been tasked with reporting everything he does back to his mother and father. Lance is very eager to get out and find a life of his own. preferably in a place with the same comforts and convienences as at home. He is an only child, and he is fascinated with the art of combat. Back at home, His family has an incredibly ornate sword that will soon be passed down to him by his father, Marcus Brightlance. Sildash is the swords name, and Lance can't be more eager for the day he comes into his inheritence, but before that he has a duty. That duty is to learn about the world, and become his own man.
