Dresden, born to a Hanseti family in 1681, hailed from the northern regions of Atlas. Dresden was taught to hunt by his father, to provide for his several siblings and mother. Being a follower of the Church of Canon, much like his father, Dresden prayed often for good fortune, though the Gods wouldn’t answer him. Misfortune fell on Dresden’s family, his mother fell sick and starvation began to set in as hunts were less and less successful. Dresden began to curse the Gods, blaming them for the suffering of his family. After some time, Dresden, his father and only one of his brothers survived. The winter had taken a toll, but Dresden knew better than his siblings, as well as having luck on his side.
When Dresden grew older, he left home, knowing he was destined for more than a slow death in a cabin in the north. He never learned what became of his remaining family, nor did he care. The north tempered him into a hard man, which he used as fuel to keep himself going. Dresden found his way from Atlas to Arcas, selling his sword arm to whoever would pay. He doesn’t talk about his childhood experiences often, as to him, the past is the past. Wandering Arcas, Dresden hopes to find a steady line of work assisting one, or both, sides of the wars happening.
