Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
**Linyi looks at the old hag, her gaze sharpening and her body tensing.
"You—know me?", she sounds skeptical, unnerved even, taking a few seconds to decide whether to sit or not. She ultimately decides to do so, she did travel quite a bit and resting would do her some good, besides she's confident that if something were to happen she'd be quick enough.
"...why do you wish to know my story, no—who are you is the better question."
A few minutes pass as the old hag still waits for Linyi's response, she lets out a sigh, maybe of defeat or reluctance. "...I used to live with my mother, my father was out of the picture from an early age...not ready to be a father he said..."**
**She looks into the distance,as if having a flashback of her childhood memories.
"My mother was herbalist, but she knew her potions too, still she never became a medic...that reminded her too much about my father, believe it or not she tried to forbid me from trying anything he was good at."
"I was lucky enough to have an old man from my village deciding that I should know how to defend myself, so I received basic training with weapons..."
**The old hag tilts her head to the side slightly, as if asking Linyi for more.
"...after awhile mother became suffocating, I had to leave...so to me I don't have an interesting story to tell you...and I don'tplan on making any kind of waves either. I just want to live as peacefullyas possible, might become a herbalist myself you know?"
