You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"I spent most of my life nomadic my parents seldom settling in one place for too long. I have rarely had much coin to my name and have had to makes end meets in the wilds. I wish to finally be able to settle in a holding and try to make something of myself through simple commerce. And crafting of my own products."
Tenad never really had much of a childhood, from the moment he could walk freely he was put to work. His parents never able to settle in one location for long moving from holding to holding picking up any odd jobs that they could. His father an apt carpenter and his mother an exquisite cook, this meant they would often find work even if that did only last for a short while. Once Tenad turned 18 he felt like he wanted to make something of himself but could not bare leaving his parents as their health was starting to decline after years on the road, often without a roof over their head.
One fateful winter his parents both became very ill and were unable to work meaning they were having to sleep rough in the wilderness. Tenad tried his best to earn enough money to feed the three of them, but it was getting increasingly difficult to look after his parents. After one long day of Tenad working for a local farmer assisting him tending to his flock of sheep, he returned to see that his parents had both perished from their illness. Although this devastated Tenad he knew that his parents would now both be together forever and be able to rest peacefully side by side. He spent that evening preparing a small private gravesite for them in the thicket they had been 'living' in. After burying both of his parents making sure to wrap them neatly in the blankets they both still rested in. He set a small marker at the head of the grave. Said a small prayer to himself, gathered what meager belongs that he had and set out for a new town to try and make a living in honor of his parents.
Tenad knows this life will not be easy but he has vowed to uphold his parents staunch beliefs of helping those who need helping and only accepting what is needed to surive. His goal, to own his own blacksmiths shop as through the years he has had several jobs working along side other blacksmiths even if it was for meager pay.
