Verna Dudley is the only child of her mother, and her father whom she does not know. She was born in Dunshire. Verna's mother was quite the instigator when it came to meeting new men. When Verna was born, her father was gone due to the fact her mother at the time had three affairs, and always had men wrapped tightly around her finger. Verna learned to gather and supply things for herself, as her mother payed no attention to her, and only her men. Verna matured at a very young age and she learned to fight for herself, she soon decided to leave her home at the age of ten. She set out on her journey where she spent a few years alone and gained more skills in order to fend for herself. She learned to compromise with people, and became quite manipulative. Until a timid, but old lady had approached her one night and took her into her home, where Verna was thus raised up to the age of 18. She was practically Verna's mother. Until the lady, who was named Helga, had died of natural causes. Verna had been raised with another young girl named Viloet who was her sister by heart, but not blood. The two girls took care of Halga her last few years, and reminisced on all the skills she taught them.
