    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I would be Meta-gaming, if I decided to collect information about something in RL in order to use this informatin for my character ingame.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming means playing unfair, against character abilities or godly. For example, forcing somebody to do something without them being able to do anything about it.

The story of my life begins around the time when the Descendants arrived in Arcas. The 15th of  Malin’s Welcome in 1705 was a sunny day. It was the day I was born. Since I can remember I lived with my dad and his mother in a little tree house in the forest near the city Tahu’lareh. 

We, my friends and I, often played hide and seek in the treetops. I still love to climb to the top of the biggest trees and to enjoy the view up there.  

My dad builds bows. When I was younger, I always watched him and wanted to learn it. And he showed me how to do it. 

When I was sad, my grandma told me the story of Cerridwen, the mother and Cernunnos, the farther. I learned pretty fast how to read. It was the easiest way to make me happy. My Grandma just needed to give me a book and I was happy.

My mom died giving birth to me. I don’t know my mom but I always missed her. I still do, but my grandma did the best she could to make me feel loved. And I did. Time passed on and I continued reading and playing outside with. I often played with Sahjie. She was a wood Elv too and we were very good friend. Her parents owned a tavern. Travelers could rest on their way through the woods. We often ate there for dinner.

One day, about 10 years ago, we were invited for dinner again. It was Sahjies birthday.  We had a lot of fun. There was also a group of travelers from all kinds of races. I had never seen a group of so different people in my life before. We talked a lot and had fun together. The Adults drank alcohol and everyone was happy. Those people didn’t stop drinking. They didn’t know their limits and overdid it. They drank more and more. And than they got angry. We felt unconfutable and decided to go to Sahjies room.

I don’t know what happened next.

The fire is all I remember.

I don’t want to think about it.

This was the day when I started to see danger almost everywhere. 

Now I am older. I decided to travel to Irrinor and find out how it is. I want to find out who I am. Maybe I can overcome my fears.

Roleplay Scenario:

I look at him. I am trying to decide if he is friendly of if he wants to have something from me. After a few seconds I answer him carefully. “I am just here to go and see some places.” I am nervous, why is he asking me? I am not telling him that I plan to go to the gigantic library I have heard of.

Ø Your powergaming should be rephrased, as it’s awfully close to our definition of powergaming (but not directed plagiarized), you can review our wiki page about it  here!   

 

  Ø You mention being raised during your first ten years of life in Irrinor. While Irrinor is currently a state in Arcas, it was not during the time period mentioned, nor was it involved in the war of EU aggression. I recommend reading the following pages in order to fix this.

 

•Gladewynn (This was the elven state before Irrinor and did house many of their current members).

 

•Aegrothond (This was also another elven state during the time period mentioned and did in fact take part in the war of EU aggression).

 

•Dominion of Malin (This was the state before Gladewynn, Aegrothond, please note this was way before Arcas and took place in Atlas, should you use this you must adjust your birth date and age if you use it).

 

•Ancient Elven (This isn’t a location page, but does have the elven language which is usually a large part of many elven societies).

 

Ø Your biography contains some misused/errors in grammar and wording, if you have trouble with English (Which is the language you must use on the server, with exceptions with cultures and races). Or do not understand it at all, you may have difficulties with the server. While we do welcome people of all backgrounds, and LOTC is a wonderful tool for learning English for some, but it may not be for you.
