Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example:
I take a deep breath and try to explain, my voice shaking a bit. 'It is not just shadows, it are... places. Places I should have been but never went. Like things I missed, or places I avoided on purpose, but now they are following me.'
I pause for a moment, trying to find the right words. 'Everywhere I go, I see them, roads I should have taken, houses I should have entered. It is like the world keeps reminding me of places I skipped. It is like I am supposed to be somewhere, but I am not, and I do not know why.'
I look up at her, feeling lost. 'It is getting worse, though. These places are not just in my head anymore, they are starting to pull at me, like they want me to go there. I do not know how to stop it or where to turn. That is why I came here. Maybe you can help me. Do you know what this is?'
Is it okay if I don't need to write the whole story again in 3 person because I already wrote it 3 times with the reason of it not saving :( I do understand that next time is should write it in 3 person.
