Wasubi

Folques was born in Eastern Lorraine to a small wheat farming family. He lived with 3 other siblings, all brothers and they all learned the family trade. Living a simple life, he farmed during the day along with his family and they were able to yield a decent harvest from selling their goods in the capital Metz. Because of his experience in the field, he developed rudimentary knowledge about plants, herbs and crops. Also, he became decently strong because of all the time he spent out in the field helping his family with the crops.

When Norland attacked the Holy Orenian Empire, he was conscripted along with his father and older brother. His brother was killed at the Battle of the Bloody Road and he and his father went back to living at their farm, now under the Kingdom of Marna. Again, at the start of the Third Crusade, he was pressed into service and fought bravely at the Battle of Rochdale. His father was killed by an arrow when the Crusaders attack Vjorhelm, and this deeply saddened Folques. He mourned him all the way back to Lorraine. He and his family also spent time mourning his father, but soon had to return to the farm work to keep their home. After he led the surviving members of his family to Axios, and he continued his farming ways for a time under Marna, quickly setting up a home outside of the capital in the Serpentwoods. Now, at the age of 28, he seeks something greater than the life of a peasant farmer.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
