Born north of Haense as a Human/Elf, Kira Halfaway lived in relative comfort as a child. In her late teens, a warband of orcs came on by and raided her home. She was rescued by adventures before the orcs can do much else and brought to Haense as a refugee. It was hard at first since no one cared for a poor mute girl, but a clinic brought her in to do simple tasks and to tend to potions. No one really disturbed her while she worked as it was a slow way to communicate with her. When she was 16, she was making potions like how she would cook and hunt. She decided to help adventures out by making potions and healing those who needed it. When she was finally 18, she decided to head out and see if she could help people out where ever they needed in the wild. Of course, she didn't want to go alone to a new place, so she hops from one group to the next and stayed in town unit a group was headed in the right direction. Somehow, she made it to a ship headed to a port city of some kind. There, she would start anew.
Kira brings out a book and writes down her response. She wrote "I am sir, do you know where I can find a group? And do you know where the clinic is?". She then showed it to the man to see and smiled. She than took her book back after she thought the man read it, waiting for a response. She was there to find a job or a group. She had a paper of recommendation from her clinic in case there was a clinic to work in and offer her services. Luckily, it was a city and she can move around with a bit of security from orcs.
