    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is a style of interacting with games or game-like systems with the aim of maximizing progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of another consideration such as storytelling, atmosphere and camaraderie

Born in a small town, Arin's family died due to an ongoing war and is currently living alone and visits Spring Hills often to relax, practice archery and do his studies. Arin works as a farmer and a private tutor for young children. He is extremely shy to others he doesn't know well and rarely speaks, but is loving and caring to the ones he considers "friends". Arin isn't very trusting to others and takes some time for him to get a bit closer to people.

Physical Description: Messy black hair with light brown tanned skin and a slim body, ocean blue eyes making whoever stares into his eyes feel relaxed and calm.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Hey Arin! I'm glad to see you've decided to apply and attempt to join our little community here. Your application was a great read, but sadly you broke one of our server rules that at times, can be a little easy to skip over. On Lord of the Craft, we do not permit or encourage plagiarizing other's work in any regard. As such, while you likely meant no harm, your copy and pasting of the wiki definition of powergaming and metagaming is getting you denied. You can feel free to apply in six hours if you like, as your application is well put together and shows you would make a great member of our community if you put a bit more thought into those definitions!
