    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Probably tell a mod if its serious but, if it's just something stupid not necessarily affecting anyone else then nothing.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Because your character itself doesn't know it you as a person does which merges your two lives into the same which breaks roleplay and ruins the fun.

Roleplay Scenario:

  Grew up a poor farmer did well in school and was always ambitious to succeed. Once moved out started a tavern in the middle of nowhere, Where the only customers he gets are the dangerous kinds. He rents out rooms and serves alcohol while secretly saving up every penny to move out and start anything else away from these people. But their stories keep him interested, and instead of leaving he grows his tavern into a safe place for those dangerous folk to relax and share their stories.
