Twenty-Four year old Vivian Flare was raised in a village on the border with her devoted parents and 2 young siblings, leading a peaceful and pleasant life. She is one of the recently hired town guards.
But when the battle started, everything went dark. After learning that the village was about to be attacked, the town's residents agreed to erect walls around it.
Vivian persuaded her family to leave the community to avoid the danger, but they refused and stayed. She was forced to heed to their demands and assist them in barricading their home, which was a difficult decision for her.
Vivian and her allies battled when the war started, but they were unprepared for how powerful the attackers were. When Vivian realized the drawback, she had to rush back to her house to warn her family to flee, but by the time she arrived, the area in front of her house was already on fire.
All of the villagers' homes were set on fire by the attackers who came from behind.
She tries to remove the barricaded sealed wood while standing in front of her burning house, sobbing and screaming, but the fire breaks out and renders her unconscious.
The assailants believed that everyone in the community had perished but her. When she awoke, everything around her had vanished in an instant, but she was still breathing.
She sobbed bitterly when she saw her burned-out house and realized that she had failed to save her family and the villagers.
2 year passed, Her sorrow developed into anger against this terrible war; she pledged to take avenge on her family, begin looking into the reason of the war, and become a fully independent rogue. She felt that nobody should be impacted by this ego-driven war and that nobody should go through what she went through.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
Vivian lowered her hood as she looked about the Old Hag's room. She was astonished by the floating candles as she entered slowly in the room and she felt uneasy or suspicious of the elderly woman when she heard those questions.
After giving it some thought, she sat down and looked at the elderly woman with a cautious expression before saying,
With a trace of bitterness in her voice, she glared at the elderly woman and replied, "I came from a village that is now destroyed and full of ashes."
"As for what I hope to make of myself..."
Vivian glanced at her hands and sighed, realizing that she needed to settle herself before continuing. She straightens her posture and leans forward.
"I'm not looking to be a hero or a title, I want to be the one who fixes what's broken. To support those who need and I've spent my life watching things fall apart." She remarked calmly
She returns her attention to the elderly hag.
"And you said, you were expecting me?" She smiled "Then probably you know what my motives already."
