    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I would ask myself if I could do said action in real life (works most of the time), and if I can't, I avoid doing said action in-game.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It ruins the immersion and experience for everyone. For example, if I was going to rob someone, and someone else caught whiff of it, they could tell the target that I/someone was going to rob them.

Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
