Atticus was simply raised on a farm by his grandparents after his parents were killed in a raid from an opposing faction. Once his grandparents passed away, Atticus fled to a life of being a mercenary, risking his life to put food on the table and have a roof over his head. He travels the lands in search of adventure and wealth.

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
