The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
((How does your character respond? Please ensure your response is at least six sentences long, and uses at least two actions.))
The traveller hesitates at the doorway before slowly stepping inside, his eyes flickering toward the floating candles. He pulls his red jacket tighter around himself, his gaze narrowing slightly as he studies the old woman.
“Not exactly the kind of welcome most towns give,” he says calmly, his voice low but steady. He glances at the chair for a moment before walking over and sitting down, though his posture stays alert rather than relaxed.
“I come from nowhere worth mentioning,” he continues, resting his elbows lightly on his knees as he leans forward. His red eyes briefly scan the room again, as if checking for anything unusual.
“What I want?” he pauses, tilting his head slightly as if considering the question more carefully than he lets on. “Something better than what I had before. Something… real.”
He exhales quietly, then looks back at the hag, his expression unreadable. “But it sounds like you already know more than you’re saying. So maybe you should tell me why you were expecting me.”
