Junica Ravenwood

Born to two mountain dwarves, Junica was subjected to a difficult life, as she was dropped off on the porch of a human in the middle of the night along with her non-identical twin sister. The parents left no note as to who they are or where the two babies had come from, however the farmer took them in. The farmer was rather uninformed about Dwarven names, so he decided to name one Junica. The sisters grew up to be very strong at a young age, helping the farmer through all his farming duties, and by the age of 12 the two where often stronger than their father. At the young age of 17, Junica’s sister ran off in the middle of the night after having a verbal argument with her father. Junica and her father continued to work hard until Junica was 28, where she watched as her father died of a plague that swept the area she was living in. Junica tried to continue farming, however ended up selling the farm to a rich neighbor in exchange for a set of armor, a small sack of gold, and a caravan trip to a Dwarven city. She was determined to find out where she came from and to learn more about her race, she was estatic to start meeting people at the Dwarven city, however to no avail. She was seen as an outsider for her surname and name which she refused to denounce. She eventually turned to mining, and found herself going through a boring and tiring routine of mining, drinking, and then sleeping just to get up and mine again. She did this for 30 years, until a strange foreigner passed through the tavern she was drinking at. The foreigner offered her a job working as a caravan guard which paid far better than a miner. Excited, Junica signed up wanting to get out of the cramped Dwarven city she called home for so long. The caravan guard job was tough, going through rugged terrain, however the people she met along her travels became her favorite part. That is until one night, a group of bandits burned the tents the caravan were sleeping in and killed the people closest to Junica. She barely made it out alive, suffering burns on her back that would eventually heal. She made it back to the mining village by buying a horse with the money she earned from being a guard and then made her way back to the Dwarven city. There, she went back to her old routine, heavily drinking and mining until she turned 99, where she decided that she needed a change in her life.
