Hagmar started his life in his native land of Nim'Lindel. He spent much of his time as a child sparing and practicing with wooden swords and shields with his siblings. His father was a strong and highly respected soldier, so much that when he would pass through cities near everyone knew him by name. As Hagmar came to his late 40’s, early adult life he decided to become a soldier beside his father, so he began his training. His father taught him much about being a soldier but as time passed on, he met a powerful mage questioned his career choices. At this point Hagmar decided that he would be a paladin. His father was proud that Hagmar was finding his own way. Bu, he wanted to explore the world, and he moved to the Isle of Tahn, where he was introduced into the Holy Orenian Empire. When he came home, things were different, as he had been gone for quite a while, and bandits raided his small village near Veris. He saw his father brutally killed before his very eyes which sent him into an uncontrollable rage and unable to think clearly, he tried to use medicinal herbs to try to bring his father awake, knowing he can’t save him. When Hagmar realized his father was dead, along with his family, he left his home, never to return, and when the Thanium claimed Axios he was glad, so he could start anew.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
