Screenshot of Skin:
Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Taking her hands she wiped them along her blue dress; her wiping got harsher as she softly muttered something, trying her best to get the dust off of her. Looking down at the cushion, her face brightened, smiling at the woman. Sitting down, she adjusted herself before she spoke. "I wasn't expecting someone to be waiting my arrival..." She cleared her throat for a moment. "My name is Fiona MacCallum and me' story..? Well, I'm from Scotland. I grew up there for twenty years." Her tone was as you expected: tired, soft, and her Scottish accent thick. Placing her hands in front of her, intertwining her fingers together as she continued on. "I grew up wealthy, never had to worry about money but... Things get boring once they've been the same for so long. So I left, I traveled long to get to somewhere where I could start fresh... And here I am."
