Corvo Noferin was born in a forest, in a small house where he lived with his parents. He spent most of his childhood helping his father maintain stability in the house, since his mother was very ill and mentally unstable. His father, taught him the art of hunting, and trained him as good as he possibly could, also teaching him how to survive, since his wife's life wouldn't last longer than few years. Corvo just turned 98 when his mother died because of how severe the illness became. He knew his mother would die. But she died early, too early. Corvo knew something wasn't right. Three days passed since his mother's death, and his father committed suicide. He cut his throat with a knife, the same knife who ended the life of his beloved wife. After his mother's murder, Corvo developed some kind of a flesh-eating "disease", that spreads when he's under enormous levels of mental and emotional stress, and a deep hate for his father, but he knows that his revenge-hungry heart will never be satisfied.
