Seeing as I have found you to be an honest and honorable sort, I shall share a small bit of my story and the story of my people with you, if you would like to hear it...

My people, we do not have a name for ourselves you see, being of a race of Nether dwelling Farfolk are of very little renown and of even smaller historical significance. We possess nearly no knowledge of the world and her denizens possess about the same level of knowledge of us. After having been enslaved throughout the events of the Time of the Waking Death, as our people came to know it, were never able to expand beyond the few hundred people we number today. Though we possess great longevity, many of us believe our small numbers are due in no small part to the magical alterations made to our people by those who enslaved us but there are some who believe it is because we had been in some way shielded from both the Curses of Iblees and the blessings of the robed figure long ago, which I myself find laughable. Our hatred of magic in nearly all of it’s forms grew by the day for the large part it played in the warping of our once peaceful people into the forsaken living tools we had been transformed into. Seen as little more than flesh golems by our captors, our very wills were supplanted with controlling magics and our bodies twisted and changed to perform the tasks they could not. Our people were only able to secure our freedom in the chaotic times surrounding the spread of the Fall of Iblees.

My own story, as it concerns this tale, begins with an Elder Decree stating that according to Prophecy; the time may have come for our people to join the other peoples of the world and take our rightful place among them and that we must be sure before we act. I, having been tasked by our Elders with learning what I can of the rest of the world and her peoples, must bring back that knowledge to them so they may determine if our time of to ascend has come or if we must continue our solemn vigil in the dark. And I must say if everyone I meet is as agreeable as you have been, my Friend, we just may reveal ourselves as was foretold.

Having been born in our settlement and having never gone far from it, other than our hunters, most of our people are not what most would call experienced. Having been raised the only son of two children to a smith and a lorekeeper, how to craft useful items, how to read and write, other basic things, and the stories of my people are about the limit of my experience. Not including those things related to farming or the raising of livestock for food, of course. Why the Elders have selected me instead of a hunter for this dangerous yet vital task is beyond my knowledge, but as always the Elders know best. So, here I am before you, traveler and seeker of knowledge.

Character Name: Ivellius Narn
Character Race: Farfolk
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 31
Physical Description: A dark robbed, red-skinned male with muscular features belying forced labor and the fiery eyes of a people who fought for and found their own freedom.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

((How does your character respond? Please ensure your response is at least six sentences long, and uses at least two actions.))

Example: (delete this when you add your own)

"Oh, I just, uh…" The traveler stutters, tensing up. They eye the crone, then back outside the shack. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
