Leigh's parents were both nomadic, although originally from somewhere in Southern Atlas--- they tried to travel as much as possible, unable to settle down. Eventually, they grew tired of having to deal with the burden of a child while traveling, and ditched Leigh just as their parents had done themselves. Since then, Leigh had mostly stayed around Atlas, occasionally trying to travel to different lands that had been more colonized, having much trouble getting used to a different lifestyle than she was used to. As she grew older, trying to find a place within the small community became increasingly difficult, especially as others branched out and went off on their own in the world, and in a desperate attempt to fit in and pave her own path, Leigh has become more of a nomad herself, following in her parents' footsteps. Although on a specific mission, Leigh often finds herself visiting home semi-regularly, anxious for what the world has to offer.
"I'm just stopping here to grab a few things before traveling--" Leigh says, posture straight as a line in an attempt not to be caught off guard. With a glance around the room, familiarizing herself with each detail, she quickly deemed this old woman trustworthy enough to let her guard down and relax. "I'm sorry, I didn't know this was someone's home." She continued, taking a seat where the old woman had instructed, blissfully ignoring the fact that she had been "expected." "I'm from Southern Atlas, it's a bit of a long way from here." She said with an awkward grin, hoping the other would understand where she was talking about. Pausing to see if any response would be given, she continued, realizing the older woman was waiting for her to answer the rest of her questions. "I'm honestly just hoping to find somewhere decent. I'm currently traveling up North in hopes of finding a nice town where I can maybe get a job, or start a business." She finished, analyzing the woman's features for any kind of recognition or emotion. With a thick swallow, hoping she wasn't completely blowing this conversation into bits, she folded her hands, waiting for the other to speak.
