    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: style of Interacting with games or game-like systems.

Frederick used to be knight at "The Battle of Kelvin-Castle" trying to study up to become a mage he was scared though from the battle losing his closet friend (dwarf) from Gilly's-Gate (town he used to live in) and lost his wife in the battle. Hundreds of soldiers and innocents died in the battle because Gilly's-Gate was just outside the Kelvin-Castle. When the attack of the orc's and ogre's began (no offense to any ogre or orc people its just what came up with at the time) and decided to go to a school of mages and learned a lot like how to control a flame in him. Now Frederick is trying to learn more and find a mage school in this specific area. Now he's trying to gather up gold from bounty's and living in a town inn. but sometimes in his time stops and think about what he could have done to save his wife's life.

Physical Description: Frederick is mage with a scar from fighting a dragon (didn't kill the dragon) with a steel chest plate and sword with staff in hand.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
