Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

" ... " The Elf just looks through his mask. staring at the woman moments turn to seconds turn to minutes of pure silence, the woman awarkdly patting the bench beside her pushing the elf to sit.
After what felt like forever the elf finally spoke " And you know me how.... I told now one about this trip. "
The woman somewhat getting frustrated with the elf's antics took a long deep breath before bluntly saying " Do you want to sit or not... We saw you on the way here and its not everyday a elf with a big bird mask comes down this way. " As for the last time she gestures to sit..
The elf finally after all that sat, slowly removing the bird mask and draping back his hood. he sat for a moment longer pausing. " I'm not use to people.. I'm sorry for my rudeness, as it tend to avoid such. You wish for a story then fine, i will tell but it is a short one. "
As the lady nods sipping on a small glass of tea wait for his story.
The elf continued to speak " Set out on this trip ay. 15 years ago, not a long time for us. but such as a long time for most. Went away from a small town as i hated people, and do not like it much. But saying that i can tolerate a convestion here and there. Most of my travels have been spent in a book, or moving between library's looking for such. I often read in nature far far away from humans, both there noise and there always wishing to chat over the simplest of things. That's That, my story, not interesting not worth the time.
As the old woman said a simple few words. " And the bird mask. "
