Talo was born in raised in a farm far hidden into the forest. His family was descended of the Qalasheen. He and his family lived their lives separated from the rest of the world for many generations. They lived in fear of all other people, thinking that society was harsh and malevolent and would destroy the family at their first chance. Despite these fears that his family kept, Talo wanted to leave his home and see the world outside of his family’s farm. His family convinced Talo to stay. After all, he had nowhere else to go. He stayed working on the farm until he was 19 years old. It was then, a group of bandits found their home. The bandits stole all of the family’s crops and burned down the farm. At the first sight of the bandits, Talo ran away from his farm, never returning. He spent several days on his own, almost starving to death. Eventually, he would come across a seemingly abandoned cabin in the woods. He would spend the night there before an elderly woman, the owner of the home, would eventually return in the morning. To Talo’s surprise, after hearing about Talo’s situation, the woman let Talo stay and live with her. Talo spent two years living with her. She helped teach him about the history of the outside world that he missed. She revealed that she was a former citizen of the City of Sutica on Arcas. Talo was fascinated in learning about this world so eventually, he would set off on a journey to explore the world and document the different geography and cultures of different places around the world.
Talo flinches as he hears the man speak, visibly startled, not noticing the man until he speaks. In a moment, Talo brightens up and says “Good morning. Nice to meet you. I’m glad to finally be able to make my way to this city. It is so rich with history.”
He scans the area, visibly looking for something “Excuse me. Out of curiosity do you know where I might find a library?”
