Arvör Nörell has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"I was raised as a Norseman in the North even though I was a Mountain dwarf, but still I enjoyed his life. I grew up learning the art of Blacksmithing and farming so I could earn my keep and truthfully I enjoyed it. But what I loved above all else was battle. The thrill of adrenalin and how close your life comes to death was a thrill he craved. But one day my home was raided and I fell to the river bed. Floating away until I beached at a frozen shore side. When I awoke I had to make a new life and found refuge in the mountains like my ancestors before me." I said, thinking her a seer.
"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
After a while I entered a small village where I searched for work. Going to the local tavern I orders some mead and roast pork. A man in armor comes up to me and demanded. “What is your business in this small town of ours stranger? Fore I, Olaf Bjornson, guardian knight asked. ” I can remember think what an arrogant prick, but I still responded saying. “just Looking for work and coin, my good sir. Fore my home was raided five winters ago.” He then sneered at me saying “Then I suggest you leave here and go to the frozen mountains with the rest of your kind and find work amongst them, you filthy dwarf.” I honestly saw this coming so I just sighed and huffed out tiredly. “I was hoping this wouldn’t happen but fine, I am sorry for the inconvenience. I shall wish you good bye.” Then I walked away back towards the mountains.
