With the position of Okarir’mali vacant, and no candidates stepping forth to nominate themselves for the mantle, Luthien Maeyr’onn will be moved to the position and serve as administrative head of the city parlour, non-economic guilds or associations, and peacetime leisure along with the offices many duties.

 

Due to these new tidings, the position of Okarir’nor is now vacant. I implore all individuals who believe themselves capable of the mantle to come forth and let themselves be known.

 

Potential candidates will have fourty-eight elven hours to submit their nominations, after which we will begin with the debates.

 

Nominations are to be performed as per protocol. Transcripts will be delivered to the current Council, and to a Maheral, should one be elected in the meantime, to be entered as an electable candidate. For a nomination to be valid, you must present a short speech, demonstrating how you fulfil the prerequisites to serve, preferably accompanied by a brief outline of your desired administration of the office in question.

Introduction

 

What is Haelun’or?

 

The Silver State of Haelun’or, is the home of the High Elves, more specifically, the Mali’thill, which are a distinct ‘kind’ of High Elf - More on this in a moment! Haelun’or is one of the oldest and most unique nations and communities on Lord of the Craft, coming into existence in January of 2012.

 

In Haelun’or, the sky's the limit in terms of what you can do and achieve, whether you want to join the Sillumiran - Haelun’ors Military Force, or whether you want to invent machines of Metal and Magic in our Laboratories, become a Socialite participating in ‘High’ Society, or become a respected Philosopher, the choice is yours. 

 

What fundamentally separates Haelun’or from other Nations, is its strict adherence to ancient tradition and culture, living a particular lifestyle guided by the teachings of Larihei Lohmanih, the first High Elf - the founder of Haelun’or, and this driving Philosophy, is known as

The Origins of the Mali’aheral

 

“For all I’ve done for our people, you would censor me, stifle me. Put a gag on my achievements. I ask for no praise, no reward, and no titles. I seek only to better my people, yet you insist on holding us back. For how long, a thousand years, ten thousand?”
 

These are the words spoken by Larihei, the most senior advisor to Malin, the King of the Elves. Displeased with the stagnation that had overtaken Old Malinor, Larihei sought better for her people, and so within the confines of her Great Library, she along with her inner circle, worked on great inventions and the finest of scientific endeavours were undertaken here. Furthermore, they began dabbling with the Void, and it is within this institution that the first voidal magic users emerged. Evocationists, Alterationists, Translocationists, Enchanters - all came to be within this place of learning, making the daily lives of all, that much more enhanced and easier. However, there was one who was not so satisfied with the achievements of Larihei and her people - Malin. He ordered Larihei to cease her experimentation, fearing the potential of the void but Larihei defied this order, moving now, into deep caverns to continue her work, and it is within these caverns, that Larihei discovered what would become the genesis of her people - the Golden Pools.

 

 

Drawn to the pools by some unknown force, Larihei began to regularly bathe in them, as did her followers. Over decades, their skin grew lighter in complexion, and their hair lightened to softer shades. As time passed, these paler elves were noticeably taller and thinner than their brothers and sisters, and their personalities seemed to change. These pale elves lost interest in the prevailing customs of Old Malinor - Dancing, Singing, Feasting, and took on a keener interest in scholarly arts, of learning, debate, magic. 

 

These fair elves became colder, more self-assured, confident, somewhat arrogant even, in their newfound beliefs and ways. These elves would become the first of the Mali’aheral - ‘Blessed Elves’, in Mali’san.

Culture and Society

 

Values

 

The Mali’thill of Haelun’or, are driven by an ancient creed - the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, which roughly translates from Mali’san - the ancient language of the Elves - to “progress and health” This ideology is the cornerstone of High Elven Society and the phrase itself is taken from old books found within the original College of Haelun’or.

 

Progress (Maehr’sae):  This is the belief in constantly striving for the honing of the intellect, by rational debate, endeavours of scientific and magical natures, and the cultivation of the arts et cetera. A good and fulfilling life is one ripe with knowledge and learning. 

 

Given this drive for the development of the intellect, the Mali’aheral regularly enjoy debate and engage in rhetoric, hosting grand symposiums where many topics are touched upon and discussed.

 

Health (Hiylun): The other half of this creed relates to keeping one's bloodline pure and untainted, as well as the maintenance of the physical body.

 

The heightened sense of importance regarding physical purity, has led the Mali’aheral to value greatly, keeping their bodies pristine and couth. As such, they are against any form of self-harm or mutilation, including tattooing and piercings or any kind of physical body modifications which inflict harm.

 

Societal Values

 

1) High Elves tend to dislike other races. Depending on your personal views, this ranges from outright hatred, to mild disdain. Though a disliking is encouraged, and this is due to the superiority which Mali’aheral proclaim to have over other races.

 

2)High Elves, given their dislike for other races, and their superiority complex, naturally have a disliking and distrust for strangers. Getting into the city will be difficult, you will be quizzed and subjected to trials and tasks. To simply allow a stranger into the city on a whim, will cause upset and is highly frowned upon.

 

3) High Elves, given their affinity for intellectualism, dislike emotional thinking. They are creatures of logic and reason, and strongly favour this over emotion. As such, public displays of emotion are to be avoided, unless you wish to incur the grimaces of your fellow Mali’thill! (Read on to learn about High Elven Courting!)

 

4) High Elves do not weigh titles very heavily, and tend to dislike the use of them, save for Government positions and the title of Malaurir, which is afforded to current (though simply ‘Maheral’ is greatly preferred), retired or deceased Maheralan.

Courtship

High elves seek out a potential partner for their wit, heritage, scholarly works and intellect rather than their dashingly good looks. An individuals intellect and talents often supersede an individuals looks. 

Once a High elf has identified a potential partner they must then prove their worth, more often than not. This requires the individual to prove their intellect, whether it be through debate, philosophical discussion or art. Individuals who come from great bloodlines may also use their families feats as a way to garner favour from a potential partner.

High elves do not believe in public affection, or announce their undying love to a potential partner. Rather, to obtain courtship often means doing so discreetly. Whether it be done through love letters, often in the form of poems or through overheard gossip regarding the potential partners fond thoughts. Once they are content that their potential partner shares the same feelings that they do. They may pluck up the courage to confess to their potential partner that they are seeking to court them.

Being a species that does not put stock within religion, high elves often wed in wide open spaces of some significance, typically a library or great hall. Weddings, being significant to the prosperity of hiylun, usually draws a large crowd, with almost all of the cities citizenry within attendance. Individuals from the outside are often sent an invitation, which will grant them access to the city for the duration of the ceremony and ball afterward.

Upon a lectern, a respected and prominent Mali'aheral citizen, who knows the individuals to be wed address the crowd with a speech, wherein he would praise the purity of the united couple. The position of "speaker" in such an event is considered a great honour.

After the speech is given, the speaker will remain silent so that the populace may speak out against any impurities or foulness surrounding the marriage. It is considered improper of the speaker to mention such a silence,  as it would be rude for the couple to have it addressed directly.

The speaker, after a period of silence then declares the couple ‘wed’ or ‘joined’. The couple will then receive gifts or words of admiration towards their union.

 

Religion

Most citizenry residing within the Silver State of Haelun’or practice Alatrism, which is the recognition of the existence of at least one deity, albeit no worshipping occurs.

This is due to their belief of placing faith in an invisible deity to be illogical, mostly due to the fact an invisible deity cannot have a motive or intention. For a high elf to believe in something which may or may not be true is counter productive to progress, as there is no way to confirm the belief of an invisible deity. However, the extreme adherence High Elves have to their attaining of knowledge and wisdom is of no less intensity than the zeal of those that excessively practice religion.

 

Fashion

A high elf wears clothing pertaining to their personality. Within their culture, this is done through the colours that their clothes represent. It is common for high elves to opt for long robes and dresses instead of their wood elven counterparts - usually skin baring. A high elf whose clothing represents their personality is considered to be very fashionable. Items such as non-invasive jewellery and cosmetics that compliment said symbolism are encouraged.

 

Purple: Symbolises magic, life (Tanya), and the unknown.

Red: Symbolises might, protection (Evarir), and pride.

Yellow/Gold: Symbolises wealth, gold (Acal), and prosperity (can also be attributed to curses, but this will be discussed further on).

Green: Symbolises harmony, diplomacy, foresight, beauty (Leyun), and affection.

Brown: Symbolises art, nurturing, the land (Nor), and festivities.

Blue: Symbolises logic, science (Indor), and knowledge, and curiosity.

Silver/White: Symbolises purity (Thilln), and the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya.

Black: Symbolises guidance, contemplation, and the Maheral (King/Emperor).

Pink: Symbolises guidance, purity (Thilln), and protection (Evarir)

 

Architecture

High elven architects used to build for beauty rather than practicality. In modern times however, both features are taken into consideration. The architects, or ‘artists’ as many have come to see them, favour towers and buildings that take advantage of vertical space, for efficiency's sake. Thilln’cihi or ‘High Elf cities’ are often found upon a mountain top, due to their strategic advantage.

 

High elves, given their often remote locations, tend to cultivate gardens and flora, in the forms of public parks. Almost always, will one find at least one statue dedicated to Larihei.

 

Gold and Insults

 

 A high elf being given gold by another high elf is regarded as an insult of sorts. Due to its affiliation with the elven word for ‘curse’ or ‘acal’. 

 

The high elf who is presented with a portion of gold is being questioned on their purity, as well as their ancestry. It is considered the most ultimate of high-elven insults, to insult an individual confirmed to be pure, it is considered a great grievance and a shame upon the high elf presenting it.

 

It is the intent behind giving gold that makes it an insult, not the act of giving gold itself. It is an abstract conception. Some mali’aheral will not even realise they are being insulted. Furthermore, the gravity of the insult is directed at a singular individual's purity and respect within the high elven society.  A known thief will not injure the sensibilities of the Maheral with his gift of gold.

Sometimes, should aurum weapons be needed for the sake of killing ghosts and such, a high elf might ‘leave’ such instruments to be claimed by another. Or such items are only lent out (for eternity with no intentions of getting it back), to make sure no gold was gifted. This is usually only done in cases of immediate need of such material.

There is also a misconception among the unenlightened that the practice of gifting gold is a claim that one’s family did not bathe enough in the golden pools, such is simply misunderstood elven duality.

Getting Started

 

Getting into the city

Due to the high elves general dislike for other races, getting into the city as an outsider tends to be quite difficult, even for those of high elven blood. This is due to their suspicion of outsiders at their gates, who more often than not do not meet their high standards. More often than not, for non high elves, they don’t want you there and will judge those who seek entry closely. 

This may involve the gatekeeper probing your character with multiple questions, this is designed to test your patience, guice and understanding of their culture. 

 

Some key things to bear in mind when trying to gain entry…

1) Look the part - High elves are often devoid of piercings and tattoos, before entering. Cover up and remove your piercings!

2) Be pleasant and polite, answering all questions as efficiently and clearly as possible

3) As a high elf, hold yourself in a higher standard than typically expected with the other races.

 

Some key things to bear in mind if you do not wish to enter…

 

1) Boast about drinking blood - Foul acts and deeds will almost instantly result in your being denied entry to the city

2) Look abnormal - red eyes, abnormally coloured hair ie: black, pink, purple, green, blue etc or revealing clothes as a high elf will often instantly label you as being mali’ata (impure elf).

3) Be extremely arrogant and rude - individuals simply demanding entry or acting like a menace will be turned away.

 

If you are a new high elf, looking to enter the high elf city, you may be asked the following…

 

“thilln ito nae'leh - Are you pure?” ((often asked of new High Elves. the adequate response would be 'thilln ito kae'leh'))

 

If you are a new high elf, looking to enter the high elf city and are wondering how to best conduct yourself, bear in mind the following….

 

1) A pure high elf tends to have lighter tones to their hair--often taking the shade of platinum, grey, blond, or white.

2) Eye-colours tend to be within a green-blue spectrum, but in rare cases they may take on shades of purple. In even rarer cases, gold.

3) Ears are often longer than those of dark elves and wood elves.

4) High elves are almost always devoid of piercings or tattoos.

5) Pure high elves never drink blood. Probably.

Preamble 
Blessed Citizenry of elcihi’thilln, I write to you today to discuss the succession of Sohaership. I admit, the matter has been long overlooked. However, the moment has come for us to look forward rather than back. This past century, our people have been tried and tested. Yet, my fellow Okariran have one absolute factor that breeds prosperity: competence. I announce my intention to run for Sohaership. 

 

The Pledge

 

I. The Silver News - The introduction of an elven fortnight news letter to include tidings within elcihi’thilln, as well as updates from each Okariran regarding their office, such as employment opportunities, existing projects as well as future projects. The idea of this particular news paper is to show the mali’thill what it is their particular position is currently doing. The Silver Calendar will be incorporated into this Article,  to better inform our mali’thill and lliran of upcoming festivities and events within el’cihi.  as well as keeping absent mali’thill otherwise indisposed up to date with recent events. 

 

II. El’Sillumir - The office of Okarir’tir will fall under direct control of the Sohaer. With this, I intend to absorb the responsibilities until a more suitable option becomes available. Rest assured, there are many prospects existing within the ranks who are perfectly capable of undertake this particular office. It is important however, that the individual
who takes charge fully understands the responsibilities and duties that come with it.

 

III. Disbanding of the Medi’ir - For too long have the Medi’ir neglected in their duties to act as diplomats to foreign powers, the rank will be abolished. With all matters of diplomacy falling upon the Okariran. Should foreign powers wish to enter negotiations with ourselves and visa versa, the issue will be brought forth at a council meeting, in which a vote will be held.

 

IV. To flourish trade - Upon our settlement to the Southern lands, our markets appear to lack in trade. With the assistance of the Okarir’nor, I intend to open trade with foreign nations, individuals of a foreign nation seeking trade with ourselves will be granted a ‘pass’, which grants them free entry to restock their stalls. Items of trade must offer some form of advantage to elcihi’thilln. Whether they be books or artefacts.

 

V. Improving productivity - It is evident that as of late, there is little productivity occurring. However, with the assistance of the new Okarir’maehr, once they are announced. We will establish an academy in which citizens of the Silver State and their allies may enrol within classes of their chosen subject, whether it be alchemy, evocation, smithing, philosophy or even bestiary. 

Progress comes in many forms. I will not overbear you with false promises and complicated statements. A path and course must be set, one with realistic aims and goals that can be completed in order to move forward, together. Upon completion of the above, the next course will be set.

Edgars Ana'sul is summoned to trial for breaching Silver Law, a trial long overdue and thought upon. INTRODUCTION

 

The serious responsibility of the Motherland; her vast woodlands and towering mountain chains, the heart found in Lareh’thilln and the potent Provinces, falls on your shoulders, Sillumir. The philosophy, Larihei’s ancient creeds of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, guide us onwards, and the safekeeping of these values are imperative for the continuance of State and People. It is the Republic’s Silver Host- the Sillumiran, which make the Eternal Library retain her Eternal nature, and ensure our relevance and permanence in Almaris. Elsillumiran are the army in times of conflict, and the custodians of peace. Since the days of Larihei, these ‘thill have made the daunting decision to burden their lives with the blood they spill in battle. Though with newfound pride and confidence, with the last remnants of the kinslayers swept away, the Sillumiran march now straight in back, shoulder to shoulder.

THE SOHAER serves as Supreme Commander, directing the Sillumiran efforts during both war and peace, battle and home. None may trump their order.

 

THE OKARIR’TIR, appointed by the Blessed Republic to organise and mobilise the Sillumiran in their place. THE TILRUIR’TIRAN, are responsible for the Sillumir and the Auxillery. They serve as commanding officers and work with their units on a daily basis to complete missions and tasks granted to them by the Okarir’tir. In the absence of the others above, the Tilruir’tiran lead the Sillumiran in battle.

 

THE DIVKINAELAN are officers of the Sillumiran, ensuring that the plans of high command are achieved. They lead training sessions and play part in guiding new Sillumiran to their gradings.

THE VIHAI – 

 

The Elite Unit. Protectors of Lareh’thilln and the vast woodlands and plains at her feet, the Vihai take upon themselves all more adverse missions required to keep order in our dominion. Similar to the hunter, or ranger, the Vihai move in smaller groups, on lighter feet, armed with the sharpest weapons available to the Mali’thill. As their name suggests, the victims of the extermination will hear no more than a whisper.

 

THE SILLUMIR –

 

Soldiers of the Silver State, the initiate and trained, enacting the Silver Law and orders of high command to defend the High Elven people and her Motherland. The Sillumir is to serve an active period of four years prior to being eligible for promotion to an elite unit of their choice. The Sillumiran may, in addition to their common duties, seek a specialisation. The current options are WALEHIR, the medics of the force, and LOGISTICIAN, who tend to the horses for the cavalry and other equipment the guard may require.

 

THE AUXILIARY – 

 

The loyal lesser descendents of the Motherland may serve in the Sillumiran as an auxiliary, aiding the guardforce in upholding Law and meeting victory in battle. Following long enough service, through blessing of the Okarir’tir, the Auxiliary may ascend to becoming a full-fledged Sillumir.

At most times, all major groups have at least one person easy to spot the moment you walk into their city. Yes there is the chance they're afk. Usually they're not.

 

That is what is needed - another person. One is enough. And then you start roleplaying. It gets boring because nothing is happening? Your fault entirely.

You could have made your character do something interesting. All characters have the ability. Depending on the size of the city, or well: It's population, a few or sometimes 20 people will naturely join in, if something happens. And sometimes they'll join in even if its not that interesting.

 

What you can do? Depends on your character, but a few ideas.

- Have your character accidently walk into someone.

- Play a child and run around people asking dumb question.

- Have your character take offense by something

- Just say hello your anti-social basement dweller

- Challenge characters to cherry-spitting contests

- Try and sell something.

- Accuse them of being a known criminal

- Literally do anything that comes into your mind and is in the boundaries of the rules

 

Tldr;

Stop being dumb and quit trying to find RP. Start creating RP! If RP is boring it's 90% your fault.

 

Casually walk them through the ages, imparting your knowledge onto them, become very good friends with them and weep at their demise. 

To add - allow your RP to be organic, don't force anything. Set out with realistic expectations and allow the flow of RP to dictate the course moving forward, don't force RP to make sense in your favour if it doesn't. 

Also to expand - share your experiences in roleplay with other people.

4th of malin's welcome, the 86th year of the second age

 

 

 

Two elven days ago, an assailant by the name of Hræthån made an attempt on our exalted Maherals life. This news comes as a shock to all, as the individual in question regularly frequented our city and betrayed our trust.

 

The reason and motive of what drove this individual to commit such a heinous crime are yet to be determined - yet, rest assured. The Sillumiran are investigating tirelessly in obtaining information about the events that transpired, urging all to avoid contact with the individual who attempted the act and implore any who have sighted him to come forth with information that may lead to his arrest and prosecution.  

 

I invite Mister Hræthån to defend his actions - if he feels the need to do so. As to better understand the events which had transpired and grant the mali’aheral twenty-four elven hours to return to elcihi’thilln to face judgment for his actions. If my terms are not met, he will be met with steel.

 

Furthermore, to all gate-keepers and Sillumiran, the individual - from this moment forth is banished, with the expectation that any upstanding mali’thill with the power to do so apprehend the individual.

History

 

The Birth of the Mali’thilln | Establishment of Elcihi’thilln

 

Bygone were the days of Malin, no more were the times of united elveness. Larihei lead the Thilln to their inevitable future, destined was the creation of Haelun’or; motherland now and forever. With her that of the more historically highlighted were gathered, Sullas, Thar, Acal’aelor and the now ‘ata Izalith. Yet in the background were characters of less renown, people moved by maehr’sae hiylun’ehya; for not all had interest in fleeting power -- or direct influence in society and its many facets. These very many a mali, but for the context of this account one need only focus upon one; Finris Haterin. While others in their past forms had focused on the wisdoms of Malin, frolicked and upon the world bore children; this man was only lead by one singular charge. The unraveling of The Cataclysm, of which an eternal void had left in everyone's minds. His was not a Talonni for he was alone, his generation the first of the Mali; only humbled by Malin. While many thought of him an eccentric, his passion in pursuit of truth; wisdom and knowledge -- that which even the elves had forgotten never wavered. Upon a visit to Larihei’s library in search of further material, even the maiden herself had him acknowledged; these were mere remarks -- yet to the eccentric anything can heed their loyalties.

 

In time while Malin still ruled he searched ruins, battlefields and any remnants that existed. In them based upon observation, logical foresight, record and undeniable fact -- conclusions drew hypothesis and they in turn theory. This itself birthed a profession, one still to this day unacknowledged by most; bringing little regard from the circles of the wise. The science known as Archaeology was from his eccentrics born, yet his patience and knowledge was not to be scoffed at. Today we his Talonni call it inder’indeal, for history is a book with no end -- as eternal is our charge. With frequent visits his physical state had changed, his eyes a deepened azure; though his hair still remained darkened they grew brighter. His locks taking on the now recognizable grey, for in this era long since passed; very few had the fair white of Larihei.

 

Though his patience deepend with each bath, so did his eccentric mannerisms. When Malin’s old woods were to be lost to the now Thilln, he was slow to move -- projects unfinished. Hypothesis yet to turn to theory, his work and all that which he had grown accustomed; for the common Thilln had much more to lose. In these times not all had influence of which to gather strength from, stability to keep one's two feet firm. Yet dragged by a few thoughtful he was not left behind, to become a victim of rising tensions. Though a kind gesture Finris would describe it as anything but, yet I argue this thought highly illogical -- perhaps the onset rambles of our accursed aged insanity. But there he was when the city rose its lofty spires, where maehr’sae hiylun’ehya had found at last a home.

 

The Schism | ‘Ata Lomal The Accursed

 

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years it was in such the pursuit of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya; was tarnished by the first ‘ata. In pursuit of progress he had forgotten health, though by the ramblings of Finris the boy was nothing but too prideful. His words were more accurately portrayed by profanities unbefitting of Thilln. It should then be clear that were it not for fates mechanisms, this ‘ata and his exile; induced by the bereft of the lives of two old. Then our fair people might still have in their midst the maiden of which our fairness stems from. This ‘ata, Lomal now known as “The Accursed” had no respect for his kind; unable to tell the difference between disagreement and distaste. But in this time most historical, Finris had little involvement. It was to him a time of studying and perfecting of his newfound profession, mastering his art.

 

In elcihi he lived in its farthest flung corner, far away from where the divide formed; as walls were raised he find only further sanctity in his library -- his passionate projects. Unbeknownst to him was the corruption of the ‘ata and the spreading influence of the Daemon Tayl. Though by his own accounts he wasn’t “unaware” but rather too busy progressing the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya -- to spend time on such “civilities”. He seems to personally feel the ‘ata rude for intruding on his studies, of which I told him was a childish notion; only to further be admonished. While my personal mindful thoughts seem more clear, one cannot tamper with the eccentric; extending only the belief that my maln left the land -- begrudgingly only not to die. Had he perhaps not been a man of his craft, it would not have surprised me if he would had remained as one of the Vihai. I suppose I have this fact to thank for my own existence, for such is fate -- weaved as though with intention yet not.

 

The New Beginnings | Aegis Once More

 

Through the portal half were unaccounted and equally so was Larihei, even the staunchest puritan weeped; were it not for the eccentric few perhaps a flood might have formed. Though while the man that told me these facts has a flare for dramatics, I for one find it degrading. I wager that there were many reasons for emotional outburst. The families torn apart, those dead not to also mention the loss of our most beloved maiden -- fair and foresighted. Out of the few who had collected minds and emotions, this land was not unfamiliar; it was the land of Archaic Aegis. In its woods the mali born as well as their father Malin, his brothers influence still alive and remaining here. Yet even his kind was present, thus mali of all kinds found once more themselves in one and the same place. Their fates once again intertwined, like pieces on chessboard their journey laid out before them.

 

The New Beginnings | Heritage Rediscovered

 

While generations had passed and some had passed onto the great beyond, some had forgotten their origins; unlearned of Larihei’s truth of which our society is founded upon. The few who remembered were a minority or in the case of Finris, were too busy with their profession; their art. To them the thirst for knowledge side lining them from the sight of certain parents incapability in upbringing. However the course of times will would have this changed, for Aegis was not fated to last; its land sinking and the descendants long since left. In Asulon answers to age old questions were open for answers, Thilln ruins strewn throughout; their cultural heritage remained strong and bright. In their presence was the everlasting ideology of Larihei that of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. With the past rekindled, passions for sovereignty reaffirmed. The Thilln once again gathered in the Motherland -- in Haelun’or. It was in this place he would find his flame, one eccentric perhaps even more than himself; of the opposite gender and of which he would be wed. While history can confirm itself long past this point, so as well is that of my maln much longer than what is accounted for. I must cut short, for I intend to release instead a greater work -- more extensive and conclusive in a more appropriate place.
