Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Klones are reincarnation vessels developed by Tawkin scholars; they are bodies formed alchemically to occupy the soul for which they were originally designed. Depending on if specific Symbols were included during creation, each body takes 3-6 IRL weeks to complete. During this time, a variety of harmful mutations may occur; ordinary vessels have a 1/4 chance of this happening, but swiftly-grown bodies boost that danger to 1/2. Rolls decide all aspects of the mutations, and the severity of a mutated vessel is determined by a further 1/20 roll. Moreover, greater mutations can be purposefully inserted into klones. Up to [2] of these mutations may be imposed upon the body, and they may be introduced to the vessel during growth or during inhabitance. Only one [3] fully developed body may ever be on standby at any given time, excluding the one they occupy at the moment.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

This Klone will typically look like that of the creator who made such that has a valid FA. This one appears to look like a wood elf at 5'7" with freckles dotting her face, long brown hair and blinded pale green eyes.

Evangeline had been sleeping in her newly created toddler bed when the vision came to the one-year-old in a dream. She woke up due to the trembling, crying due to being frightened. She went to run into her mother's room, only to pause before leaving her room to grab her blanket! "Haelun!!" she whaled all the way there.

Really cool post Squak. Simple yet effective

Seraphina would have peeled herself from the floor, the 'ame only having just suffered through yet another vision placed upon her. Though her own struggle was pushed to the side, she pushed up to embrace the toddler who barged into her room. "Shh, its okay onny." She whispers out, the Shepard squeezing her all the while her mind reeled, thinking upon who could her vision mean.

Your reasoning is a little odd, for arguing about lore conflicts.  To my knowledge, I don't think Naztherak are filled with malflame - just like Mystics aren't filled with ectoplasm.  There's no risk of combustion, and there's no way they can cast two magics at the same time (unless they powergame like me)

Both of them possess the ability to conjure the material.  As for heavy soul alteration, the previous mentions seems like it was tied to massive slot-taking magics, that transform the character more into a creature (with a CA) or be influenced by a dieity that would be insulted with the presence of a magic that defies their powers.

I don't care if this is accepted or denied personally, though if you're wanting to set a precedent for the lore - you should also look to include some other magics.  Why doesn't blood magic become incompatible, for how it alters the soul?  Or necromancy?

For the most part I had made this amendment as I was talking to some others about this. And all just kinda thought just having both of these that work at the same time were really odd. So I just thought I'd make this since it felt like it should've been the case already imo. If it's passed or not isn't a huge deal to me I just think it's really odd it's not already the case.

    Spoiler

    - A Mystic may be created by being Conjoined with a phantom by a Wight or TA holding Mystic. The ability to conjoin is to be marked on one's MA.
    - A Mystic may be Conjoined with an existing Phantom, provided the Phantom consents OOCly - as such will result in the denial of their application, as they are effectively PK’d in the process.
    - The ghost or graven may be either an NPC or PK’d character, requiring OOC consent. The NPC or character cannot tell the mystic of their death in line with normal death and phantom rules.
    - A Mystic character may not be Conjoined with one of their player’s former characters.
    - T1 and T2 Mysticism require [1] slot; T3 and T4 require [2] slots; and to become a Wight takes [3] slots. Additionally, to reach [T3] the Mystic must be conjoined a second time.
    - A Mystic may not drop Mysticism. The only way a Mystic may be disconnected is by a Wight sapping them.
    - They will be unable to pick up Mysticism again unless this process is reversed by the same or another Wight.
    - Mysticism is incompatible with other heavily soul-altering arts or creatures, such as Frost Witchdom and Siliti, or Holy/Deific Magics. It retains compatibility with Voidal Magic, alongside other Dark Magics except where specifically deemed incompatible.

    REASONING:

I was made aware that Naztherak and mystic were compatible with one another despite who it does seem both alter your soul in more form. The Naz makes a pact for your very soul with the power of the hells, and being conjoined says you cannot be conjoined if your soul has been altered. Even if it's not due to some true alterations of the soul. Having these two big dark magics mix while ectoplasm leading to being harmed by the malflame seems like it should make the Naz just combust upon gaining the ectoplasm inside of you from the conjoinment. Also another reason for this amendment is to remove the mentioning of Siliti from Mysticism as they no longer exist.

  5. A ghastly knight would look over the missive, eyes of smoldering ectoplasm narrow as he eyes the name. "Palmer, Aldenburg?" He utters out in an ethereal tone. "My bloodline lives on, and yet they are still amongst sinners." His gruff tone snaps, clenching his fists of haunted metal. "As am I now, perhaps I must seek them out. ."

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Mysticism

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Mysticism is a mortal magic of the most profane kind, which many would label as "Dark Magic." A group of Arcanists seeking a kind of immortality to alleviate their short lives gave rise to mysticism. This sect of Arcanists wanted to create, manipulate, and ultimately bring about the death of these phantoms of undeath that prowled the countryside in an attempt to achieve immortality. This group, who had been shunned by society, had decamped to a cave under the ground, where they would later form 'The First Synod'. 'The Tetrad', a small group of mortal men and women, would go on to produce a body of knowledge known only as the Grimoire of Phantoms, the culmination of all the Synods research.

The men and women of the Synod would find themselves killing each other, adding their souls to the amalgam within that feared obelisk, following the discovery of a gleaming spire beneath the earth. That group of lost souls would eventually combine to become an amalgam, and this miserable monster would grow into a terrifying apparition after many ages of stillness. This group would eventually be referred to as the Waking Synod, or Mythul Tlan. The Grimoire would finally be found again as the years went by a man who would come to be known as the First Mystic; his name was Uldrivt. Uldrivt would soon discover that Mythul Tlan's sheer might had overcome him, causing the amalgam to take control of his body. His body would then start to turn stone, and gradually a faint blue light would appear. This new force would be Kozilek, the first Wight and Barrowlord of the Second Synod; it would not be Mthyul Tlan or Uldrivt.

An aspiring Mystic must be conjoined by a mystic with the knowledge of conjoinment in the Ritual of Conjoinment in order to properly use the Occult arts. An aspirant Shepard must allow the Wight to wound their soul, and then they must link a phantom—typically one they have selected for themselves—to their soul during a first trial. In order to carry out the will of the Synod, the Shepard is able to invoke the ectoplasm of their conjoined ghost and tread that fine line between life and death. They will have to go through a second conjoinment in order to advance to T3 as a Mystic.

A Mystic will undergo several physical and psychological changes after being connected. Individuals who have formed a transient bond with their spectre and chosen to become Conjurers will experience physical weakness, with their skin developing wrinkles and sagging to create a haggard appearance, and their hair turning white. However, those who followed the Blade's path and developed a closer, more concrete bond with their phantom would retain their physical power in return for reduced ritual potency. However, they pay a price for their physical prowess because they are more susceptible to Aurum.

No matter which course the Mystic chooses, they are vulnerable to the numerous psychological ramifications of having a phantom join them. A mystic's existence becomes devoid of happiness and cheer as they are drawn farther from the world of the living and closer to the miseries of the dead as a result of connecting with an entity like a phantom. They may also have more intense dreams or hallucinations, as well as higher degrees of anxiety, compulsive disorders, insomnia, and protracted sadness.

On the other hand, a conjoined Mystic will have access to Ectoplasm. When produced tangibly, ectoplasm—a bizarre mixture of mana and lifeforce—may manifest as a glowing ichor, a thickening material that makes up all phantoms, wights, and other spectral beings. Mystics can summon more ectoplasm for usage as they advance through the tiers and gain experience in the occult art of mysticism.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

With Mysticism there are two specialized paths that a Mystic can choose to progress down, these are Blades and Conjurers. Such can be picked by the mystic under this conjoinment once such has been joined to them.

    Conjurers
In order to have more control over the mystic arts, Mystic Conjurers must forfeit their mortal might. Conjurers are more like spellcasters in that their bodies have degraded significantly as a result of their increased connection to their phantom and Ebrietaes, in a similar way to how the body of a voidal mage would decay following connection. Instead of being able to summon their phantom more physically, conjurers can use their phantom to curse and afflict diseases on their enemies.  Blades are unable to use the following Liturgies because they are locked to those of a Mystic Conjurer: Shoruding, Tyking, Manipulation, and Undertow.

    Blades
Mystic Blades are the front-line melee fighters for the Waking Synod. These Blades sacrificed more control over the mystic arts to maintain their physical strength, and they can call forth their conjoined phantom in a corporeal form to help them in combat. Conjurers cannot use the following liturgies because they are tied to those of Mystic Blades: Spiriting, Expulsion, Diminish, and Enervation.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    Undertow

Seraphina would let her shoulders sag as a soft breath leaves her lungs, her facial features gaining a sickly appearance. Her hair goes white and wispy as if aging in a matter of moments, the very bones beneath her flesh illuminated in a spectral glow. Her hands moved as a sickly thick black ooze of ectoplasm projected out around her. This black ethereal glow cascaded out and around her relic held in hand.

The Shepard would continue to channel her dark art, funneling the black ichor of ghastly nature into the spyglass relic. As ectoplasm rises up within the relic throughout the construction of the relic a sphere of spectral fluid would amass.

The relic held in the hands of the mystic shudders and quakes within her grip as she let her flowing ectoplasm seep into the construction of the item. Then by her will, Seraphina would allow gouts of this ethereal liquid to funnel on out from the relic, thick blackened sludge now covering the ground. Spectral hands reaching from the tar-like energy attempt to grasp upon any who stand within. Causing any who step within to be slowed.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

    Deadbreath

Seraphina would bring her student forth in the dark of the night into a forest, the moon high in the air casting a soft illumination through branches. “For this lesson, I shall give you a helpful spell. Do as I do.” As she states such, a spectral glow emanates from her form causing her to gain a more withered appearance, flesh going translucent to display bone.

    -Student Emote-

The Shepard would watch as her student gleamed, now rolling her shoulders. “You will need to breathe in deeply. Allow such air to aid in the collection of your ectoplasm deep within your lungs. Once done you will see the following.” Then she would inhale as deep as she could, the glow of her otherworldly figure gaining a much more intense gleam. Ectoplasm of now collecting itself into the very lungs of the mystic.

    -Student Emote-

In an act of finality, Seraphina would open her maw parting her lips, spewing from her mouth a gout of thick dark clouds. This fog of ectoplasm rolls over the surface of the ground at her feet. As this dark cloud grows in size around herself it would conceal herself completely from anyone without the aid of true sight. “As you see dear student, this will shield me from the eyes of the unworthy. However, do be careful as those with holy magics or magical means to dispel fog. Such as voidal air evocation or Xannic light if close enough will be able to rend our spell most useless.”

    -Student Emote-

“Most excellently done” Sera would commend her student with a nod, though her face did not depict much emotion to say she was pleased. “I shall leave you with this for now and to now ponder upon what good this shall do you in our wars to come.” With that, the shepherd would move to take off, leaving her student to mull over the lesson.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would most likely Dm them and ask them exactly what they did and how they emoted the spell in question, that is if I had not seen such happen firsthand. Regardless if it had happened on purpose or on accident I’d try to help tell them where they had gone wrong with emoting such if they would be willing to listen to what I had to say on the matter. After such events, I would want to talk to a St telling them the situation if they had told me about such thing. If they had not and my student refused to listen to me I would tell a St about such things so they would be handled accordingly.

Long after the missive's initial release, a fashionably late pigeon would drop a parcel in front of Lucis. Inside lay a copy of the poster altered so that Lucis had a Dr. Doom style mustache and top-hat and a sticky-note stapled just below.

"First thing I see after getting out of the basement. Oof."

    It's unsigned.

Somewhere upon Aevos the sound of rabid screams would echo across the landscape. The arch mage has been driven made by such a package to arrive to him.

  9. Lucis Avila stops in passing as he notices a missive strewn over the streets, he adjusts his bowtie before taking a closer look. The short mage pale, reeling back as he takes in the content, grabbing the missive. "I- I'm going to strangle her." He swears to himself.

  10. Farewell to my favorite gamer who got drunk during his mod interview trial o7. I hope you will be well with everything you will be doing hence forth. Gonna miss ya pal! <3
