  1. Lucinda walks away from the entrance of Talon’s Grotto, a defeated manner to her stumbling. She has been thrown from her home after causing a ruckus and has had to leave her two children with her fiancee, homeless and without a friend.

After many days she finds herself atop a frozen cliff overlooking the ice covered waters. To a bystander all you could see is a flash of scarlet red hair falling.

Upon her body a note could be found...

To my friends, family and children.

I’m sorry to tell you of my death in such a manner, I wish I could have spoken to you all one last time in a proper apology of my actions. Yet, I sit here, atop this isolated mountain writing my last ever words.

In acceptance of my breaking of the law of Talon’s Grotto, I cast myself from her bounds and wandered the frozen tundra of the north trying to find a reason to keep going. In such a cowardly manner, I have left my only family and my newborn children all for my own pride.
I owe this apology to you: Mirrak, Ardyn, Lucis and Lyris. I love you all with all my heart and in my dying moments I only think of you.

    With love,

    Lucinda

Weeks later upon a hunting trip, Chadmyr lets his eyes scour the winter land for snow rabbits and boar, among other animals of predator or prey. Suddenly he spots something, something abnormal, the man’s eyes fluttered out of surprise having spotted some tuft of red in the distance sticking out from some ice laden water. He calls his men to follow him with their spears and bows drawn, as they believe it to be one of the wolves they had shot not too long ago, its fur having been muddled with red from the first shot. But when they approached, All of them halt at the sight of her with their jaws agape and shortly, after some recollection, went to work to remove her from the ice. Once they had finished dragging her hypothermic corpse from the ice and onto dry land, they had found that wet note she had written, hardly legible from the waters muddling the ink. “Talon’s Grotto, a cowardly woman” Chadmyr muttered, having examined it for awhile once back at camp. He shakes his head and leans over to whisper into the blaze atop his staff, whisperings of prayer to the Allfather. He had seen enough, and once having rewrote some of the more murky lines such as the woman’s name, he sent a bird off to deliver this note to someone, anyone, in the lands of Talon’s Grotto.

Those men of Morsgrad had not left that woman to be eaten by whatever bear or wolf might wander along. As they had burned her corpse upon a pyre as to release her soul to the Allfather’s grace. To free her soul from her body so that it might not become a lost spirit to wander the tundra for the rest of time. “May she find her soul reborn of fire in the Afterlife”

Mirrak would be silent upon reading the note left by Lucinda, his expression hidden behind the bone mask over his face. “She was the one who cast aside past fears and went over many boundaries to reach to my heart. She allowed me to feel something I had not felt in decades, now with her, those feelings are no more it seems.” He would look to the two infants sleeping nearby “I shall not be broken however, I will take care of your my children as your mother would have wanted.” He would pick up the infant before strolling off elsewhere into the grotto.
