Born in a far away land, Aldro Vondrir never knew his parents, he was cast out at a young age due to his being built more like a human in stature, with broad shoulders instead of thin lanky body. The dark elves of his home land cast him out for his “impurity” in their eyes. He was left along a road to die in his homeland. However he was found up by a human trader. The trader raised Aldro, but he was a man of tough love. He did not feed Aldro much or act like a true father, he instead tested to see if Aldro could survive on his own. By any means necessary. Aldro was forced to steal to survive, he would travel with the trader to around to all the cities he traded in, as to keep himself anonymous and to make sure he wasn’t too well known by the guards after a while. He learned to survive on the streets, the trader helped protect him from the many gangs in the cities and taught him to read and write. In exchange, he took anything Aldro managed to pilfer during their visits. It was here where Aldro learned to slip into the crowd, and to sneak around without being seen, at least at an amateur level. He grew to hate the trader however, for putting him through everything since his childhood, he hated more how he couldn’t remember his parents, and he never knew why they cast him out. He hated himself for being a unwanted child, for being forced into petty theft. One day , when Aldro was around 20 he decided he had had enough, and he killed the trader. However, he was wasn’t smart enough to hide the evidence. He felt deep regret for his actions, but deep down he knew he’d enjoyed every second of it. He decided to bury those feelings of satisfaction deep within himself. He was forced to flee, and he traveled for many years. He traveled through many countries and lands previously unknown to him. By the time he was 77, he came across a town named Raven’s Landing, which he quite enjoyed. He wanted to settle down after his years and years of travelling. He found a quaint little tavern in the town, and he was sweet on a girl who worked there, Tiana her name was. They became very close, lovers even. They dreamed of owning their own tavern together one day. But one fateful day, Aldro’s deepest desires and impulses took over. He killed her, he did not know why, but only that he needed to leave. He fled the small town, never looked back. This time was different than the trader, this time he recognized his feelings, and allowed them into his mind. He could hear the voice in his head telling him to kill, it was somehow with his normal persona. He was driven mad by the two voices in his head, fighting for control. He visited many temples along his journey, convinced it was a demon of some kind in his body. He trained with many monks along the journey to nowhere. One day he came across a man who he felt he knew, but could not remember. The man said but one word he would never soon forget. The man said, “Vaasek”. Before Aldro could ask what the man meant and who he was the man ran. Aldro asked around but nobody knew who that man was or where he came from. Aldro researched for mentions of Vaasek at any chance he got along his journey. He soon found his answers. He began to follow Vaasek, with his darker voice urging him to do so. Aldro found a satisfaction in doing deeds for a reason, any at all. Over his years of travelling the lands he learned much of the daemons, and he enjoyed the seeds of chaos and fear that Vaasek sowed in the world. He used the daemon as an outlet, to relieve his darker part of mind. Vaasek was enough for him to “create” a second persona of chaos to appease both sides of his conflicted mind. He was eventually able to tame his toiling mind, but the two voices remained, his constant reminder of his deeds. He would attempt to appease both the voices. The one telling him to follow his dream, the dream he shared with Tiana, to own a tavern and to serve all the adventurers and hear their amazing stories he loved so much. And the one telling him to kill whenever he was angered, to crush any in his oath, and to cause chaos purely to see reactions. These voices were always both speaking, but Aldro learned that he could listen to both voices, tavern keeper and a messenger of chaos. He traveled the lands for most of his life. Finally, settling in the Arcas, to live out his dream of owning a tavern. He hoped to open one in the busy trade City of Sutica, to catch adventurers all over the land. He had heard along his journey that there were magic teachers in these lands, he wished to learn from one of them somewhere along the line, he believed it could be rather useful to him in both his tavern life and his chaos life. He had also heard about a certain cult in a place called Blackriver Swamp, it seemed like just the place for him to be.
