She was born in a halfling hole at Brandybrook, she was mainly raised by her mother and surrounded by her 3 elder brothers who had all already left the hole by the time she was 20. She still could not bring herself to leave the hole and her mother. As far as she can remember, her father, named Odavocar, was often absent because of his trading occupations with the neighboring elf city, Aegrothond. Which was quite gainful according to the amount of money he brought to each of his returns. Despite his absences she was very close to her father and very alike physically, they both looked frail. Each time he would return she would be impatiently awaiting his arrival, not only to see him, but also to beg him to take her on one of his trips. She wanted to see other things, other people, other kinds. One day - as always when her father is supposed to come back – she replayed her new speech which aim was to finally convince her father. This day turned into weeks. Deep down, both Linlo and her mother were terrified that something could have happened, so they stayed silent and kept on waiting, just as they always did. But one night that silence was wrecked by a scream which suddenly awakened Linlo. She ran into her house and found her mother next to few elves. How many were they 2? 3 ? 4 ? She was too shocked to remember, this was not how she expected to meet other kinds, but here they were, writhing to fit in her little habitat. One of them began to speak “Odavocar Cottonburr was found guilty of theft and fraud all his goods are now the property of his majesty the Prince of Sea, descendant of Sylvaen.” With no further information they were kicked out of their hole. They find refuge in Linlo uncle’s house. He strongly advises against further research, and affirmed that his brother-in-law had to be working as a thief oversea. Her mother was resigned. Linlo, unlike her, could not accept her father’s disappearance. Was he still alive? She didn’t know, the only thing she was convinced of, even if she was probably wrong, was that her father was innocent. For once in her live she decided what she was going to do, not by begging anyone but by following what her heart was telling her: to go after her father, and to learn the whole truth.
