Viorva Omadeias was born to a family which strictly adheres to Mali'ker cultural ideals. Hailing from the Indoren Enclave, she became quite fond of humans & their views on relationships - both with other beings & nature. This created a rift in her family life, because while her grandmother, Velfa, is the matriarch of the family & expected to be listened to & obeyed, Viorva adopted a mindset which led her to explore other cultures. Viorva first discovered her interest in other lifestyles in her young girlhood. She excelled in every academic feat given, & private teachers her family sought out for her quickly ran out of new material to teach. She has a full historical understanding of the Ashen Folk, is an avid patron of the arts, elegant in the way she presents herself, & is always hungry for more knowledge. When she was first introduced to combat, she found herself to be skilful with a bow, but unfortunately has always struggled when yielding a sword. Her mother & father continuously pushed her to be competitive in swordsmanship, but she always felt like a failure & preferred sticking to what she knew she was good at. Her grandmother expected more physical attributes to make themselves apparent, but Viorva never excelled & began feeling pressure from her family to "do better." This is when Viorva began befriending the humans who inhabited the Indoren Enclave, whom treated her with kindness, respect, & taught her the values of mankind. While not everything she learned from them struck a chord, she began to adopt a sense of independent freedom & enjoyed defining who she was away from her family. While Viorva enjoyed & appreciated all aspects of her people's history & culture, she couldn't justify in her heart the intense dislike that the Isles of Almenor had for human government - that is to say, kingship. In her eyes, the Crown of Storms led to more inequality among the population & allows for no positive shift in societal operation that could be possible if that hierarchy was not established. Her questioning of Elven government only pushed her further into the exploration of other ways of life. Her family often prayed to Malin & other ancestors, but Viorva also felt this task to be something she did not personally value, because she preferred to see herself as an equal rather than secondary to those who came before her. She started feeling pushback from her parents, but was still met with fierce love which was reciprocated. Viorva began using humour & quick wit in situations which made her uncomfortable, & by the time she was a teenager she was considered to be the "black sheep" of the family. Her father Isodro continuously expected her to conform to the Dark Elf culture, & while Viorva has a deep connection to her roots, could never commit herself to the lifestyle as it created a rift in who she defined herself to be. To make up for her lack of close combat skills Viorva focused intensely on her shooting, & while she proved to be very impressive, it was not enough to satisfy her parents & grandmother for her lack of swordsmanship skills. As Viorva got older, & despite all of her other numerous, admirable skills, they felt she was a disappointment. Isodro & Ipolla, her mother, bore another child & Viorva suddenly had a little brother. The birth of Vundrad made Viorva feel as if she was no longer appreciated in the family, & ultimately replaced. While she still has a deep respect & endless love for her family, they began closing her off. Because Viorva was incredibly close to her father, the coldness she began experiencing once she approached adulthood couldn't be ignored. Isodro's specific rejection of Viorva closed her off to other relationships, & she approached Velfa for council. Her grandmother told her that her affinity for other ways of life was defiant, & should be immediately shed if she wished to be considered a part of the family. This created a conflict within Viorva, because while she still has endless affection for her culture & her loved ones, she feels that following her own path is her destiny. Craftmanship is a skill which is highly revered in the Dark Elf community, & as a way to compensate for her other shortcomings, Viorva aims to not only become one of the finest archers, but create long lasting, quality, powerful, & ornate bows for those who prefer arrows over swords. She plans to travel all over Arcas to learn about other cultures, crafting skills, & herself. Her next stop is Morsgrad, in hopes to educate herself on the prominent Red Fatih religion.
