  1. Laurissa, the revolutionary who hadby luck and chance—led the coup that deposed Razad, finished her speech with a sheathing of that rapier of starsteel. She stepped her way past the crowds of people, those who had gathered around her and Faeryel to liberate the rule of the Academy of Hohkmat. A revolution she started out of a moment of heated emotions, of emotions she let boil to the point that she decided after her mistake to simply follow through and rattle the old man until he was put in his place. She echoed those words she spoke to him after her display of him as she descended the steps, Momento mori . . . remember, ye are mortal.

  2. The Lady Magister of the Circle of Esotericism lofted her rapier of starsteel to the heavens. "Long live t'e Academy. Long live 'o'kmat!" A bolt of lightning would crash down from the sky and strike her blade, letting out a burst of sparks as it crackled along its ethereally glimmering surface. She had done it, she had deposed a tyrant.

  3. Laurissa wiped the blood off her rapier, yet proud of her attempt as lightning crackled around her with a hum. “For an old crotchety ****, Razad needs to learn 'ow to grow up.” She paused a moment, furrowing her brow. “And 'e didn't approve t'at lesson wit' me . . . I'll need more of a word.”

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Earth Evocation

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Earth Evocation is the Voidal art of conjuring earthen elements for primarily combative aspects. Once one has been connected to the Void, at a greater mana source (Obelisk, Tear, Voidstalker, etc.), they are able to cast various spells to wield Earth once taught. Compared to the other elemental evocations, Earth is simplistic, direct, and reliable.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

The three subsections of Earth Evocation are Sand Offensive, Earthen Offensive, and Earthen Defensive. Sand Offensive focuses on non-damaging attacks that summon sand in order to blind and distract foes, often serving as a way of combating other Voidal Magi to prevent their casting by interrupting their line of sight via either the direct single target Sand Blast or the area of effect Sandstorm. Earthen Offensive is a series of spells that progress from distracting Pebbles, to blunt Rocks, sharp Spikes, devastating Boulders, and, the pinnacle of offensive earth, the Earthen Cyclone, which summons a series of spikes in a grand torrent covering an area. Earthen Defensive can be used either to create an Earthen Barrier or Earthen Dome, the former either covering a long stretch or a tower shield, the latter forming around the caster. Either can be maintained via the caster’s concentration, only able to be damaged by specialized weaponry, such as pickaxes or the harsh pommels of swords, or spellcasting, which reduces the time they can be maintained.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

[!] A crackling of indigo sparks began to arc around Laurissa’s forearms and emit brightly from the irises of her eyes as she held her hand up, splaying her palm out as her aura sparked around her form dramatically.
[!] The intensity of the aura emitting from her eyes surged as Laurissa began to curl her fingers in as if crushing an invisible force in her hand. From her indigo arcs began to form swirls of amethyst dust, which began to collect above her palm.
[!] Above Laurissa’s hand, the amethyst dust began to coalesce together into a stone the size of a baseball which hovered there as her fingers continued to crush the air.
[!] Laurissa gritted her teeth, her aura crackling around brilliantly as the gemstone dust continued to add to the chunk, which swelled to the size of a meter wide beachball above her head.
[!] When the chunk of amethyst reached the size of a two meter wide boulder, she snapped her arm forwards, incanting out,
“Bokk Ahran'os!” The boulder launched forwards at the speed of an arrow towards the foe before her. The force of the potential impact would be enough to knock the wind out of the foe, though if it would impact them against the wall behind them, it would strike with enough force to crush just about every bone in the foe’s body, likely leaving them on either side of the brink of death. [Earth Evocation: Boulder]

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

[!] Laurissa’s eyes flared with indigo light, a similar hued aura beginning to crackle around her hand, “T’e first spell ye will learn is a simple one, and while it’s technically considered an offensive attack, it serves a more defensive purpose.”
[!] They would nod, watching along intently.
[!] A swirl of amethyst sand would form from Laurissa’s aura, forming into a ball in her palm. She snapped her hand towards the dummy, where its bucket-visor would be struck by a blast of the sand, rattling around, “Sand Blast. It doesn’t cause any physical ‘arm to yer target, but it blinds anyone not wearin’ full eye protection, like goggles. Ye know why we want to blind people?”
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: [T1] Sand Blast. 2 emotes [1 connect + 1 cast], fires an arrow speed projectile that blinds an opponent for [2] emotes if it hits their face but causes no physical damage. Goggles are needed to stop it from blinding the eyes, or the face needs to be covered the emote before.
[!] “To get away from an attacker?” They would tilt their head to one side, furrowing their brow.
[!] Laurissa bobbed her head side to side, “Aye, but not just. Most magi are foolish, ‘eadstrong. T’ey don’t plan properly ‘gainst attacks to t’e eyes. R’member what we spoke ‘bout in yer connection lesson? Ye need to see where ye’re tryin’ to cast yer spell towards to cast it. If t’ey’re blind, t’ey can’t see ye, or anyt’in’ else, meanin’ t’ey can’t cast.”
[!] “Ohhh, I see.” They nodded along.
[!] “Go a’ead and connect.” Laurissa instructed as she took a seat atop the crate, her own aura fading from her.
[!] They focused towards the target, a glow of orange forming flickering around their hands, “A-alright.”
[!] Laurissa: “Now, picture sand, focus yer Voidal Connection on sand. T’e granularity of it, the little bits of eart’ we looked at wit’ t’e magnifyin’ glass, take t’e Voidal Energy ye pull fort’ and shape it into yer idea of Sand.”
[!] Their aura continued to flicker as grains of earth began to form out of the Void, starting to gather into a golfball sized orb in their palm as they gritted their teeth, struggling to maintain focus.
[!] Laurissa nodded approvingly, “Now, t’rust yer ‘and forwards towards t’e target’s face, let t’e sand fly fort’.”
[!] They did as instructed, snapping their hand forwards which sent the collection of sand to scatter across the bucket atop the target. They let out a deep sigh, their flickering orange aura fading from them.
[!] Laurissa hopped off the crate, stepping up to pat them on the back, “T’ere ye go. Ye’re a wizard now, yer first spellcast. Practice t’at spell. When we meet next, I’ll teach ye to make it into a pebble, but for now, sand’ll be yer best friend. If ye’re attacked, cast it into t’eir face and run, works ‘bout… t’irty-percent of t’e time.” She flashed a bright grin.
[!] They gave a nervous chuckle, nodding their head, “Alright… uhm… I’ll keep practicing on it.”
[!] “And yer connection. Ye won’t be able to cast in combat wit’out a stable connection.”

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would speak to them directly about it and let them know where they went wrong. I’d let them know what they should do instead the next time they attempt a casting of the spell and hope they are receptive to the criticism. If the powergaming was reported by an ST, I would get back to them on how I corrected the student and apologize. If a student repeatedly powergames and is not receptive to criticism, I’d contact ST about them being an issue.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Seer - Cozener of Vaasek

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Seers are the divine tricksters, deceivers, and liars of the God of Anxiety and Fallacy, Vaasek, bound to him via a bond to a Witness, the invisible, intangible, and numerous physical bodies of the God himself, forged in the Seer by another of Vaasek’s servants who knows the Ritual of Sanctioning. All Seers were either blind before, or became magically blinded during the Ritual of Sanctioning, relying on their Witness for sight. Secrecy is everything to Seers, who must follow the three tenets Vaasek has ordained for them: a Seer cannot kill or harm another Seer unless permitted, a Seer cannot snitch on another Seer by revealing their identities to non-Seers or cabal schemes to non-Seers outside of their cabal, and a Seer cannot reveal themselves as a Seer, or the inner workings of their magic, to non-Seers. These tenets, which cause a Seer to lose the magic and feat permanently alongside their memories acting as a Seer if they break them, ensure near perfect secrecy of the ultimate secret: that Seers exist. To prove that Seers exist is a nigh impossible task, for none can give up their secret behind the magic, not even to their closest comrades or confidants, nor can other Gods detect Vaasek’s presence, allowing them to infiltrate even divine organizations. Not even the Seers themselves know the true origin of their magic, save for a motif of crows which can be present in the unique way in which Seers learn their spells: through dreams. Unlike other magics, Seers do not learn their spells via lessons, but instead gain access to the abilities respective of their tier and slot dedication, taught in roleplay through dreams. The goal of Seers is simply conspiracy. Vaasek created these blind servants of his to serve a cause as only the blind can, and that cause is to weave intricate plots, conspiracies, and schemes which distract the mortal populace. For these, they often form or join cabals, secret societies, cults, or even governments, all to wield their powers of fear and delusion to twist and pull the strings of fate how they see fit.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

There are essentially two “tiers” of Seer, gauged by the dedication of Magic Slots to Seer. With a single slot, one is able to possess the basic abilities of Seer, including customized Casting Tells, witnessing Prophecies, an improved Dilated version of Secondsight from the Seer Feat, and spells such as Caecic for hidden messages visible only to Seers, Panoramic Spy for viewing the area around the Seer, Reading for determining the mental and physical state of a subject, and Sowing and Cultivating, which allows a Seer to inject a delusion into a victim slowly over multiple interactions. After two successful Cultivations, a Seer with a TA can perform the Ritual of Sanctioning on them for a second time to allow them to progress to the second “tier” of Seer, in which they gain access to spells such as Dreamstride for controlling people’s dreams and sending visions as well as Cultivating a Sown Fallacy from afar, Veil in Lies for basic invisibility, Invisible Hands of God for basic object manipulation, Scrying to view events from the present or past, and the Rituals, minus the Ritual of Sanctioning which requires both a TA and a third Ritual of Sanctioning to be performed on the Seer. Each slot dedicated to Seer is dedicated permanently, meaning one cannot go down in “tier”, get their slots back should they wish to dedicate them to another magic, or regain them upon the breaking of a Tenet in which they as well lose their memories of being a Seer; Seer is a near permanent character choice.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

[!] Laurissa sat within the circle of focus crystal dust, a series of deep purple candles placed around its circumference in seemingly sporadic positions, though each corresponded to the position of an astrological body, lit aflame as a star in the night. A glow of indigo began to seep from her eyes, hands, and the focus crystal ball held within those crooked digits of hers.
[!] A series of mutterings would follow as her aura would swirl around and dim the lights of the candles, casting the ritual room in a mix of purple and blue hues. The crystal dust within the orb’s murky core swirled and radiated with this glow as the brilliantly shining eyes of the sorceress stared beneath its surface.
[!] Her tongue weaved the words in a whisper,
“Lord-Magister Haus of Paradox, Hohkmat.” The brilliant glow around her all snapped in to focus into the object of divination within her lap, the flames of the candles flickering as they were passed by, that arcane glow filling the crystal confines as they reached, grasped for a vision of her subject. [Seer: Scry]

/msg PrimnyaQuorum hiya! Haus is being Seer scryed on atm. Do you OOCly consent to it? If so can you let me know or send a screenshot of his surroundings within 20 blocks, what’s going on atm, and of any individuals there who OOCly consent as well within the area?

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Seer is a unique case in magics by not having actual lessons to learn spells, instead each Seer automatically (or auto*magic*ally :P) learns the spells respective to their tier, slot allotment, and sanctionings. For the sake of the application, I’ll demonstrate an IRP and OOC mentoring of a Seer student in how a spell should be cast:

[!] Laurissa sat within the circle of her underground chamber, facing the student before her, “Ye are uncertain of Appraisals, are ye?” She inquired with a tilt of the head.
    [!] “Oui . . . I am.”
[!] “‘tis a simple spell . . . t’ough it’s execution may take some gettin’ used to.” Laurissa hummed with a nod, “‘ere, take t’is.” She offered out a glimmering sword of a silverish metal.
[!] Taking the sword, she furrowed her brow, “Am I to Appraise this?”
[!] “Aye, but focus on drawin’ out yer energy, yer power. Let it flow from yer ‘ands to consume t’e object, see past its veneer.” Laurissa gestured forth at the sword, “Draw out yer sight, and use such to examine it as any mundane inspection might go. Focus on each d’tail, t’e imperfections and such.”
[!] Her hands illuminated in a way like ethereal emerald sand, swirling about her hands, eventually forming over the blade’s surface.
[!] “Ye’ve connected wit’ it. Ye are t’innin’ its veil so t’at ye might gaze b’yond. Go on, gaze child.” Laurissa urged.
[!] Her eyes darted over the blade, gazing around its surface with great curiosity.
[!] “More, view every d’tail. As much as ye can of it, let no corner lay unaccounted for.”
[!] She twisted the blade around in her hands, holding it close to her face to gaze over the blade, its surface, the nicks and notches along the edge, the lettering etched into its fuller, the leather of the grip, the symbols on the pommel and crossguard. [Seer: T2 Appraise]
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: now ask me the questions respective of your tier. for tier 2, that’d be origin, purpose, and enchantment/effect. be specific, look at the lore page and ask the description of each one.
[looc] Student: where was it made?
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: a little more specific on what it entails. they might answer the exact place, while you can only see the continent. usually I ask “which continent and/or world was it made on?”
[looc] Student: ohhh okay, which continent or world was this made?
    [looc] ScoutTheWitch: almaris
[looc] Student: what’s the item’s purpose
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: giving an example would help for that one, like “what’s the item’s purpose (ex. dagger for stabbing, bread for eating, poison for harming, etc.)
[looc] Student: alr, what’s the item for? like an axe for chopping wood, torch for lighting, poisoned apple for harming, etc.
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: good! it serves the purpose of inflicting harm and being an heirloom
[looc] Student: and what is the item’s enchantment or effect?
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: and ask how the enchantment or effect is activated and what archetype of magic there would be upon it
[looc] Student: right, and how is that activated and what archetype of magic (voidal, deific, dark, misc) is it enchanted with if enchanted
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: you can also ask to read the description for that, but you’ll have to word that into roleplay terms alongside your character’s appropriate knowledge
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: but ya, the item is enchanted with a bound Familiar named Eloise, themed after a knight woman, it is voidal and can be called from the item if it retreated into it from being damaged, which it currently was. the sword is also made of lunarite (aka starsteel) and glows under moon or sunlight and doesn’t rust
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: now if the person with the item doesn’t know any of it, if it’s an st event item, or if its something like a mart, you’ll usually have to make an /sreq for that. put the item’s information, screenshot, etc. in a google doc beforehand and link that, ya?
    [looc] Student: mhm
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: now rp out learning that information
[!] The glows from her hands and the item faded as she turned her gaze up to Laurissa, “It’s a starsteel sword, with a Familiar named Eloise in it created from Voidal Magic.”
[!] “Correct.” Laurissa nodded, “If ye need furt’er ‘elp, don’t be ‘fraid to ask, aye?”
[looc] ScoutTheWitch: you can also dm me or ask in the seer discord if you’re unsure of something ^^

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

With Seer specifically, powergaming would likely involve ignoring the requirement of OOC consent, vague questions, or casting tell appearances for certain spells, and thus I would be rather harsh should I hear of it from another, or be sure to correct it immediately if I am in their presence. Apologizing on behalf of the student and correcting the roleplay would be paramount, though if they powergame through something such as ignoring when tenets are broken, or do not shape up their roleplay, I would contact ST about their inability for proper roleplay and seek to get them reprimanded for it by them.

[Ritual] [Noncombat] - Ritual of Obelisk Consecration

In the likeness of the Obsidian Obelisks of Pax, has the Clandestine permitted one of his arcane followers, and her progeny, to create effigies in support of her lies. And thus, through the expatriation of one of his Witnesses, can a lie become the immutable truth.

A Translocationist capable of performing the Seer Ritual of Consecration may choose to concentrate their energy into the material plane and focus upon a Mana Obelisk of at least 10m effective radius and consecrate it. Such a consecrated space becomes inhabited by a Witness that is partially expatriated into the Void, not bound to any Seer but acting as the font and host to any Seer who comes upon the Consecrated Obelisk and attunes themselves to it.

The ritual takes at least 6 emotes in a ritual of the Translocationist’s design. Upon completion of the ritual, the Translocationist will accrue 3 headaches, and will be drained of their mana while experiencing a botched translation for 12 IRL hours.

The mechanics of the Consecrated Obelisk are the same as a regular Mana Obelisk, albeit with its effective radius redacted to 8m, and a regular Consecrated Altar. This means Voidal Mages within the radius of the Consecrated Obelisk are drained of their mana at half their rate, are able to craft Voidal objects, connect new mages, etcetera, and that Attuned Seers are able to see and hear anything within its 8m effective radius, share the casting aesthetic, share sown individuals, etcetera.

As well, Attuned Seers with a Voidal Connection will receive the following passives while attuned to the Consecrated Obelisk:

[Passive] [Noncombat/Combat] - Arcane Casting Tell

Shared amongst those attuned to the Obelisk is an aesthetic to their spells that resembles Voidal casting in its entirety. While this comes at the cost of discretion, hiding in plain sight is often better than hiding in shadows.

One of the Attuned Seer’s three Casting Tells becomes the Arcane Casting Tell. This Casting Tell must fall under the guidelines of the Voidal Tell in Voidal Connection lore, though cannot be any more subtle than a regular Seer Casting Tell, with the color of their aura manifesting alongside any minor aesthetics that fall within Aura lore.

When a Seer spell would have their Tell fade, such as after priming a spell like Sow Fallacy, or would have no tell in the first place, such as writing Caecic, they would instead be constrained to following a Tell similar to Sensory Illusion detailed in the Voidal Tell during those emotes. This includes a clear and explicit emote of focusing upon the target, as well as mentioning of an ear or finger twitching when outside of combat.

    - The Arcane Casting Tell follows all redlines of Seer Casting Tells and the Voidal Tell.

    - The Seer may possess two other casting aesthetics in addition to the Arcane Casting Tell.

    - The Arcane Casting Tell may not be any subtler than any regular Seer Casting Tell, and must remain present in a subtle but clearly emoted form when a Tell would not be present. Passive abilities such as Dilated Secondsight, reading Caecic, Polyglot, Charade, and Invisible Hands of God will not have tells, as they are not cast.

    - The specific locations of the Tells in Seer spells must still be followed (ex. “the Seer emits their casting aesthetic around their hands and eyes”). The Seer’s aura would appear in that location.

    - While the Tell may be used on any form of casting as detailed in Seer lore, only Voidal and Seer spells will function like Voidal Spellcasts.

    [Passive] [Noncombat/Combat] - Voidal Channeling

To appear as though one is using Voidal Magic, their spells must act like Voidal Magic. And that means all the benefits and drawbacks of Voidal Connection, fragile as it may be, this sacrifice only proves to bolster the mage’s disguise amongst the Arcane.

All Seer spells available to the Attuned Seer now require a Voidal Connection to be maintained. By requiring Voidal Energy to be invoked to cast Seer spells, they now exhaust the Seer at the rate of Sensory Illusion spells and both Focus and Line of Sight must be maintained to channel Seer spells. If something would disconnect a regular Voidal Mage or prevent them from casting, it would do the same to the Attuned Seer.

In exchange for this cost, all ways of detecting and discerning magic will view these channeled spells as Voidal in nature, causing Epiphytes to grow nauseous within 10 meters and Voidal Eminents to see that the area recently had Voidal casting performed in it through Aura Sensory. Sown Objects, however, would not display any Voidal taint past their initial spellcast. In order to cast any spells requiring a Sown Object as a casting implement, that Sown Object must also be a valid Arcane Focus.

The first emote of every Seer spell’s count is now as well a connection emote for Voidal Magic. Outside of combat, this connection emote should be redone for any Seer spell to keep the original emote lengths and tells, only changing casting times in a combative scenario. This means the combative Seer spells possess the follow emote counts:

    Spoiler

    Caecic (writing): [2-4] emotes [1 Connect + 1-3 Cast]

    Panoramic Spy: [1] emote [1 Connect/Cast]

    Spot Energy: [2] emotes [1 Connect + 1 Charge + 1 Cast]

    Eyebite (combative, touch): [3] emotes [1 Connect + 1 Prime/Cast]

    Eyebite (combative, visual): [3] emotes [1 Connect + 1 Prime + 1 Cast]
    Hypnotic Gaze (combative): [4] emotes [1 Connect + 1 Prime + 1 Charge + 1 Cast]

    Dreamstride: [3] emotes [1 Connect + 1 Charge + 1 Cast]

    Veil in Lies: [3] emotes [1 Connect + 1 Charge + 1 Cast]

    - Voidal Channeling follows all redlines of Voidal Connection.

    - All Seer spells must follow all redlines of Voidal Connection. This includes Line of Sight for activating a dormant Eyebite. Rituals such as Dreamstride, Scry, and Ritual of Divining are considered to have the Sown Object as the target of the spell, and thus one does not need to see the person they are targeting to cast those spells.

    - Seer spells channeled by an Attuned Seer count as Voidal Spellcasts for all lore that would react to them.

    - Seer spells must still follow their guidelines, mechanics, requirements, and redlines for casting detailed in Seer lore.

    - Panoramic Spy may no longer be cast alongside other actions. The displaced vision requires concentration to maintain but other spells may be cast while it remains displaced. Vision will return to normal should the Seer be disconnected.
    - Maintaining a Seer spell that can be sustained is not considered “actively casting” for the purposes of detection, but disconnection will still interrupt it. Examples include Panoramic Spy's displaced vision, Spot Energy’s enhanced sight, and Veil in Lies’ invisibility.

    - Attuned Seers with Transfiguration are capable of Abjuring other Attuned Seers’ spells, so long as they follow their Tenets in doing so.

    - Transfigurationists are incapable of creating enchantments utilizing an Attuned Seer’s spells.

    - Attuned Seers who are Arcane Scions are incapable of casting Seer spells of T3 or higher besides Cultivate Fallacy and have their range limited as normal.

    - Passive abilities such as Dilated Secondsight, reading Caecic, Polyglot, Charade, and Invisible Hands of God remain unchanged.

    - Attuned Seers cannot cast any other spells while holding a primed combative Eyebite or Hypnotic Gaze.

    [Passive] [Noncombat] - Connection Reading

Having the Witness displaced in the Void acting as a font of power for those connected to it has at least one strange side effect. Their Witness’ vision of souls grows more sensitive to those arcane energies, and their effects upon the soul.

When an Attuned Seer casting Reading, in addition to the usual criteria inquired of, they are able to determine the state of their target’s Voidal Connection. This comes as the following manifestations in seeing the soul:

Voidal mage: energy colored in the subject’s aura flows from an open rift in their core.

Arcane scion: Scions have the rift bound shut in similar colored energy.
Voidstalkers: Voidstalkers have the rift torn open and pouring the energy which appears to eat away at their form in black corruption. Voidstalkers with the Second Mind ability have eyes looking back from beneath the rift. This incurs a headache from witnessing the Horror.

Voidal eminent: Eminents have the energy flowing through wherever their Affection is placed.

Voidal artificery: A weaving, interconnected appearance of mana flowing in spirals from their Mastercraft.

Veil watching: Beneath their eyes they are able to witness a brief view of the Veil, which appears as a distorted curtain in front of the stars.

    - Follows all redlines of Reading.

    - Cannot be used to determine what Voidal Magics a target knows, only whether they have a connection and any of those feats.

    - Cannot determine what an Eminent’s Affection or Artificer’s Masterwork is or what it does, only the general area where it would be located.

    Red Lines of the Artifact:

    - The Ritual of Obelisk Consecration can only be taught to T5 Translocationists. To perform the spell, one must be a two slot Seer capable of the Ritual of Consecration.

    - The Ritual of Obelisk Consecration can only be performed on a valid, ST signed Mana Obelisk of at least 10m in effective radius. No matter what the radius is before consecration, its range of effectiveness is capped at 8m.

    - The Consecrated Obelisk follows all redlines of a Mana Obelisk and a Consecrated Altar. It may be used as both.

    - The build of the Consecrated Obelisk must be valid to both a Mana Obelisk and Consecrated Altar.

    - The Consecrated Obelisk requires ST approval and signage.

    - To consecrate the Obelisk requires absolute privacy and will fail if performed in the company of non-Seers or during any sort of combative scenario.

    - The Blood Magic creation ritual Quiet counteracts the spying of a Consecrated Obelisk and will purge the Witness from it, returning it to a normal Mana Obelisk. Abjuration would destroy the Consecrated Obelisk as normal, causing it to fall apart, crumbling and breaking. Along with any other method of destroying a Mana Obelisk, this will render the space inert.

    - Consecrated Obelisks may be connected to in the same manner as Consecrated Altars in Seer lore, and count as one of the two altars a Seer may be connected to at any one time.

    - A Seer who does not possess a Voidal Connection would be incapable of connecting to a Consecrated Obelisk. One who attempts to would find themselves suddenly bearing the full weight of Voidal Poisoning as seen in Voidal Connection lore for 6 IRL hours.

    - An Attuned Seer will be unattuned from the Consecrated Obelisk should they lose access to the Voidal Arts.

Explanation of the effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed):

A Translocationist Seer first draws the Witness into the space of the Mana Obelisk, before performing a partial expatriation on the Witness’ form within the Obelisk, essentially dipping it into Arcana for the shared Casting Tell of the Obelisk to bear a Voidal flavoring in order to better maintain a disguise. Vaasek permits this tampering as it allows his Seers to infiltrate the communities of Voidal Magic to the highest degree. For Laurissa, this is her chance to forge (in both ways, to smith and to falsify) a legacy for herself in Voidal Divination, a spell to disseminate to her students to prove that she successfully “created” her own school of Voidal Magic.

Number of duplicates of this Artifact:

∞ (It may be taught as a spell to any T5 Translocationist)

Do you understand that there is a three-month cooldown between posting MArts per-player, and that cooldown begins upon acceptance? (Denial does not trigger a cooldown period.)

  12. It is genuinely baffling to be this attached to real world bigotry.

If the categories of bigotry which are banned on the server were expanded to cover homophobia, what changes? What is so fundamentally altered that you feel you have to rally against such?

I do not understand in the slightest.

    Edit, Addendum:

To quote Reggie Fils Aime, "If it's not fun, why bother?" We are all here to play a game together, and if something is hindering people's ability to have fun with this game, then what fun of yours is being taken away to allow people to better enjoy their hobby?

  13. Spoiler

Oop not public nvm then, still don't treat women like property putting it back bc haus publicized it

". . . an flat latz women . . .?" The Lady Magister raised an eyebrow as she crumpled up her copy of the missive, "I see we're treatin' women like property today, aren't we?" She tutted before going to do a sick bank shot of the paper ball into the furnace of her smithy.

  14. From somewhere beyond death, the spirit of a Dame of Hanseti-Ruska's eyes shed a spectral tear, the first since her dearest Jennifer passed over a century ago.

Her daughter meanwhile, in seeing the letter, took a folder labeled 'Twenty-seven step plan to destroy the devil worshiping homophobes of Canonism' and decided it might not be necessary anymore.

  15. A pupil sat in her manor as she looked over a copy of the letter, her expression twisting into that of a deep frown. She tossed it into the fireplace with a huff, before having to return to living her lie, great displeasure felt at the news. The kin who brought her into the fold was gone, and she would need another guide. And perhaps, if she could ascend as far as she hoped, invite in another he had promised to be kin... Perhaps.

  16. A bastard of thrice-blood descent sat atop the library tower in the observatory in the District of the Sorcerous Path, humming a tune as her legs swayed in the breeze. In one hand she held the missive, reading it to herself, and the other a starsteel bastard sword rested in its sheath, pommel on her shoulder, "I 'ope t'is makes ye officially proud of me, mom. I'm a 'Lady-Magister' now, of my own right. I fought for t'is, and I'm gonna keep fightin' for it." The paper crumpled in her hand as she made a determined fist, before letting the wind take it.
