  1. Dame Emelya Eloise Kortrevich held her sheathed sword over her lap, reflecting on what her liege had said at the previous Knight's Table, and the talk they had a few days prior, "Yam szam, Vyr Majesty... Ea hope vy are able to decide soon." A teardrop traced it's way down the Dame's cheek, falling onto the guard of her blade, dancing about the edges of the Kortrevich family motto 'With Duty Comes Honor' etched in shimmering starsteel before landing upon the floor of Jerovitz.

  2. Dame Emelya Eloise Kortrevich would not hear of Esmée's death until a while after she returned to Haense, cursing herself out for missing the funeral. While she knows she probably did not mean much to the woman, Esmée Reubens was a large part of the inspiration for the Dame to follow the path she did in life, showing her how strong and unwavering a woman could be and how she would have to work harder than most men to reach the same position, "Godanspeed, honorable warrior." She muttered to herself, feeling slight regret that she never got the opportunity to spar with the woman she had looked up to since she was little.

  3. Left Bedridden

The partially paralyzed Valeska Radmila Morovar with her father Gustaf Sigismund Morovar by her bedside.

[!] The following is a letter of public notice about the young lady’s condition.

The eldest daughter of Lord Gustaf Sigismund and Dame Tavisha Markov Morovar, the Lady Valeska Radmila Morovar, has been absent from the current Haeseni social season and, while initially brushed off as her wish to remain a bachelorette for the time being, she has permitted a release of the truthful reasoning behind her absence.

On the morning of the 12th of Wzuvar and Byvca, 418 E.S. the young lady was found collapsed in the halls of Ghaestenwald mere steps from her room, unable to move and in a state of extreme delirium. After being brought to her bed, a Medicus was called to her side, who promptly declared that Valeska had experienced a rather intense stroke that may leave her left side paralyzed for the foreseeable future. She is unable to walk or eat on her own and her left eye remains closed, limiting her depth perception.

The stroke was discovered to be the result of a heart condition previously unknown to the young lady or her family.

Bedridden and unable to take care of herself, Valeska Radmila Morovar wished for her condition to remain between the family out of fear of showing her weak and infirm state. Though, after a year of little progress in regaining motor function, she relented to having it become public knowledge.

Her ever sweet and doting father Gustaf Sigismund has taken it upon himself to remain by her bedside and nurture her back to health, delaying his own plans to take an ambassadorial trip around the continent.

Valeska apologizes to those she wished to learn from and apprentice under before her stroke and hopes that she might be able to once she is able to get herself to stand once more.

    OOC:

    Spoiler

Been busy with stuff and have decided to take a break because of stress. I’m not gonna make a post for it, but I will not be on my other character Emelya for a while longer even after I come back to playing Valeska. See y'all soon!

  4. A few hours before her knighting, Dame Emelya Eloise Kortrevich reminisced about the Knight's Quest she shared with the squires, and the young lad. He reminded her a bit of herself when she was his age, the determination, bravery. Looking over her things, she nodded, "Ea hope this serves him well, as it did eam." She wrapped up the bundle of cloth containing something once gifted to her and fastened it to the side of her pack.

Yeehaw and salutations! My name is Scout and I have a certification in Computer Assisted Design (aka 3D Modeling) that I got back in high school and have done jack-shit with except make swords and stuff, so why don't I make your swords too! Here are some examples of people's weapons I've made in the past:

If you would like me to make a 3D model of your weapon/item, DM me on Discord [jaymock7#5249] with your item description and any reference pictures.

Each model costs around 200 mina, fluctuating somewhat based on complexity (mainly non-text engravings and patterns cost more), and I am up to negotiating the price or trade offers. Textured materials (ex. damascus) are only at specified request with references.

The model should be completed within a week or two at which I will send a rendered rotating gif of the weapon, a still render of the weapon, renders of the primary details, and an STL file of the model.

  6. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich leaned on the warhammer she lifted off an enemy's corpse and subsequently used it to smash bits off the stone tower, a grin of her face splitting the scar through her lip, "That's what vy get for betraying the Alliance, and betraying Haense vy Ferryfucks." She spat at the base of the tower before taking a cloth and wiping her starsteel blade clean of Ferrymen and Orenian blood.

  7. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich shook her head at the missive, "This is an oversimplification... niet even mentioning the stages of a specter or that Poltergeists of reddish hue are the specifically dangerous ghosts. And Aurum banishment is known to be temporary." She let out a deep sigh, "At least he mentioned that they're niet servants of Iblees, that is true."

  8. 6 minutes ago, Phersades said:

Nikolai Mikhail Kortrevich sighed softly as he read through this edition of Hearsay. He wasn't UPSET by the contents, though he did take note of the discussion on Vladrik's silence regarding the Duel.

"Eh.. Nie- Et just means he es afraid, en Lady Margot es niet around to write up a response for him." The man noted to his sister while she sat at the dining hall table.. He watched her as he read the rest of the section on their family.. "They are niet wrong about our house bein en ruins, ea can niet even give mea lady keys to a keep she vill be livin en soon- Bitter, arrogance" The youngest Kortrevich mumbled to himself  "Ye vell, try dealin vith Vladrik en vy tell eam how long et takes for vy to be bitter, goin on twenty-three years... Even the best of us have a breakin' point"

He shook his head a little and set down the missive on the table as he walked around it, looking at the family heirlooms and paintings that lined the walls. "Ea do niet know vhy vy are so complacent, Eme." His turned to her with a smile "Yam sure ea could just come up vith the best rumors about vy to tip em off to for the next edition."

"Say shit and vy get hit, Nikolai." Emelya said as she took a very long sip from a fine porcelain demitasse cup, "And just because yam niet acting irrationally does niet mean yam complacent."

  9. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich listened to the folksong in the tavern while working on editing the bestiary before her, "Ah, a metaphor about the folly of unchecked pride and how it leads to suffering." She commented to herself, before glancing to the pages of mystical monsters in her tome, "It... is a metaphor, da?"

  10. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich grinned at the notice, "Ai, the one of mea siblings that's been trying to get shit together and restart a family business seems more fit to inherit." She chuckled, shaking her head, "Mea little borsa can be overly emotional sometimes, but he's got a head for leadership. Ea do niet remember the last time Vladrik showed up to training either, duties should niet be taken lightly." She began to replace the bandages and herbs in her pouch in preparation for the sibling beat down, "Vy best be glad that ea do niet care for titles other than knightly ones, or else ea would kick the shit out of either of vy to help fix this stupid ******* male centric society. Nikolai's at least trying to change things for the better, second-born son does niet mean second-best."

  11. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich would pen and send a letter in response:

    "Your Highness,

I, Emelya Eloise Kortrevich, offer my utmost assistance in the effort of recovering your daughter Elizaveta Ulyana as my duty to this Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska and Her people as a Squire in the Order of the Crow, Armswoman in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, and a Daughter of Hanseti-Ruska. Assign me where you will as I have experience in tracking, though that has mostly been for monsters. I am one for utmost preparedness, so I offer not only my blade, but my all-seeing goggles, potions, and diplomacy to be at your disposal.

    With Utmost Sincerity,

    Lady Emelya Eloise Kortrevich

    Squire, Armswoman, Apprentice Alchemist"

  12. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich loved her father greatly. That is why it struck her so greatly when she learned of her father's death, her mother in the archway outside the keep of Reinmar informing her in hushed tones that a monster had taken her father from this world. Initially, Emelya lashed out at her mother and later her father's cousin Anders at their whispers months prior at court where they had spoken ill of him.

Directing her grief into anger could not keep her from sorrow. She spent nights in the catacombs beneath the Knight's Table before Dame Primrose, begging her for guidance. Once she got herself to return to Jerovitz, she slept in the chapel for weeks before finally forcing herself to return inside the keep. Every memento about the place brought memories of her father to light, everything causing a recollection of some event where she had spoken to him.

But she persevered. She wished that she could have told her father that she had been named the first Karoskadet in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, but she knew he would be proud of her. He always was proud of her. She knew her father would want her to continue on, to work towards her raison d'être: becoming a Dame. He always believed in her. Her father told her that she would become like Dame Primrose Kortrevich someday, that he saw in her the determination to achieve this. He always loved her.

Emelya Eloise Kortrevich had to be the first of her siblings to accept his death, that her father was not coming back, so she could be there to help her other siblings through this. She wanted to be a Dame who inspired others with the hope to fight on and she had to start with her family.

For every event in her life following, she knew he was there, he was watching. When she slew her first monster, when she received her starsteel sword at her presentation, when she interviewed for her squireship, when she slew a harpy in the mountains of Hefrumm, when she dueled her knight mentor and earned her scar through her lip, when she left to the Rimevald for training and slew a polar bear to make a pelt; she knew her father was always with her, in her heart.

  13. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich looked over the notice, "And so we are to head to battle? Yam glad we fight alongside the dwed at least." She chuckled before stuffing it away, slipping a hand beneath her mail collar and to the lightning bolt token of Belka, "Ea pray that we see little casualties, and stock mea herbs so that we might."

  14. Emelya Eloise Kortrevich entered the Prikaz on way to the Royal Library, witnessing the sea of crabs about the floor and stopping abruptly, "Godan, Herman got busy!" She exclaimed, thinking about how her first memory involved the little crab, who now had an entire invasive swarm of children.
