The Petran Mistress of the Wardrobe, Laetitia Henrietta, scrambles to her wardrobe to find a gown befitting the occasion.

"So many new alliances as of late...!" The Petran Mistress of the Wardrobe would exclaim upon reading the missive, grinning from ear to ear.*

"Finally!" Retorted Lottie, the Petran Mistress of The Wardrobe, as she scanned the shops in Valfleur for an apology-slash-celebratory cake of sorts. Grinning, she selected one -- and purchased it -- for her dear friend Marius.

The Petran Mistress of the wardrobe, a friend to both the King and the Archuchess, smiles brightly upon hearing the news.

“Suppose I’ll have to fashion us some attire for traveling, oui?” She’d remark to her sisters; thereafter shifting her gaze across the room, to the area where she kept her fabric and other sewing materials.

A recent debutante would flip through the pages of the most recent Petran Post "Don't worry Maman, Her Grace will probably grant you a County if not a Duchy for all we've done so far! But a peerage of our own, nonetheless. the non-petty kind too!" The teen would half-jest in an attempt to lift her mother's spirits.

Due to the halted construction of Ser Emir d'Abbassia's estate; the event shall instead be held at the in the gazebo behind Valfleur.

The households of de Rosius residing in Petra are thrilled to announce the hosting of a Soirée and subsequent joust to celebrate the Début of one of their kin; Lady Laetetia Henrietta Rhodon de Rosius, recently-appointed Mistress of the Wardrobe to the Petran court. 

Guests are encouraged to dress in ‘whimsical’ attire to match the theme of the event (though not required), and dress as uniquely as possible in order to inspire creativity. The exception shall be floral details for menswear; which will be reserved for any suitors who may attend. Boutonnieres shall also be provided at the door for their convenience. 

Schedule

Arrival 

Upon their arrival, guests shall be escorted to the gardens of the estate; whereupon they shall be served cider, cocoa, and other warmed beverages to keep them warm in the chill of the winter afternoon. 

Dances 

In the absence of the débutante’s late father,  what is traditionally the father-daughter dance shall be reserved for Lady Laetitia and Ser Emir d’Abbassia, who has kindly offered his estate for the hosting of this soirée; and is additionally the cousin of Lady Laetitia's mother. After the first dance, suitors may dance with the débutante until it is time for the joust. 

Joust

A joust shall be sponsored by the Baron of Marsana, Uncle of the débutante; with the prize of Lady Laetitia's favor. Afterwards, guests shall retreat to the manor’s sitting-room, where they shall be served a light refreshment and hors d'oeuvres as they warm up by the fire. Music and games shall be provided for their entertainment; though they are encouraged to tell stories to one another and compose poems as a display of creativity.

“I really should meet my good Petran cousins sometime.” The Baroness would later muse.

With her children sent away to be wards under the care of her cousin Louis, and her husband kept busy with his travels abroad; Diane would prepare to leave Balian. With a sigh, the woman who would not be Baroness of Valens thereafter stepped out of the Malenos Manor for the final time, donning white attire as was de Rosius mourning custom.
